All of my life I have been told that I was different and that I am never going to achieve anything good in life. For a long time I believe what everyone was telling me and because i did most people took advantage of my low self esteem. My parents were never there for me, which I think had a great toll on many of my so called 'problems' in life . My parents abandon me at a park when I was 7. At first I didn't know that they left me at the park on purpose, I was pretty sure that it was an accident and that they were coming back. After they didn't come back for a long time I choose to walk home. Once I arrived home late that afternoon all I could see was my house completely empty not a single thing was left. As an eight year old the only thing I could think of doing is assuming that this is a joke and that my parents had a huge surprise for you . I thought that we were moving and my parents went to set up the new house to surprise me. But as soon as my grandmother pulled up in front of my house that dream became a nightmare, I knew something had happened but didn't know what it was. A year later it all hit me that my parents didn't want me in the first place and that I must be the reason they left. My grandmother would never tell me the actual reason behind why they left, but I knew that they didn't want me from the way they looked at me to the way they always complained about everything I did. They never loved me and for as long as I live I will never love them.
