Leah POV
The hike was amazing. It was absolutely breathtaking to see the view. I wish I could just live here forever. It's such a calm and serene atmosphere.
Neymar and I had a talk during the drive here. I get that he wants to know me. I don't see why but I get that he does want to.
I've been through situations in my past that have led me to not trust many people. Even the ones close to me. Sierra, I trust because she's been with me through everything. She's the sister I've never had.
And David. He's the best big brother I could ever ask for. He's everything and more.
And Neymar. I don't know if I can trust him. I don't even know him. But something's telling me that he is trustworthy. I just don't know if I can trust him.
Sierra says that he is a nice guy worth knowing, at the least. I think what I said is valid. If he wants me to trust him, he'll just have to prove it to me.
David came up to me when we arrived. We talked a bit and then we went to hike the mountain. We reached a stop point to admire the view an all. I was sitting near the edge but not the very edge. David came to me and sat down beside me. He put his arm around my shoulder and pulled me into his chest. I sighed and put my head on his chest. I felt a sense of relief.
"Princesa. He's trying." He sighed looked at the mountainous region I was looking at. "Neymar wants to know you. Just try to be nice to him. You don't have to be buddy-buddy with him but just try to be friendly. He's just trying to acquaint with you." He said.
"I know. But is it wrong for me to not want to?" I sighed.
"Princess, there's nothing wrong with that. But closing yourself off is wrong. Especially if you're you. My Leah." He whispered.
"Am I really that closed off?" I asked.
"You weren't before. Leah, you need to move on and forget." He rubbed and side of my arm comfortingly.
"It's hard to forget something that's affected you harshly." I whispered.
"Learn to then." He said.
I sighed. It's really hard.
"I miss you, Leah." He said putting his head on top of mine.
"I'm right here, David." I said.
He looked up and looked at me. "The Leah that smiled. The Leah that giggled. The Leah that made jokes and had to be told to stop joking around. I miss that Leah. This one sitting here is someone else." He sighed and removed his arm from around me. "Tell me when she's back. Until then, don't close yourself off." He told me.
"Oh, hey David. Sierra's actually was calling you. She said she needed something." I heard Neymar say from behind me.
David smiled at him. He gave me a kiss on the forehead and stood up.
Once he was gone, Neymar came and took a seat beside me.
"Here." He said handing me a banana. He had an apple for himself.
"Thanks." I nodded and took the banana from him. "But what if I wanted the apple." I asked in attempt at a joke.
"Do you want the apple?" Judging by his serious reaction, clearly he didn't catch on.
