My Violin

"Sera!" I turn around and see Nina Rotik running towards me. "Ninaaaaahhhh," I reply, making her name sound twice as long as it should, "you followed me again.." Nina is my mothers neice, my cousin, but more like a sister to me.

"Yes," responds Nina with a sly smile, "but you forgot your rosin again"
"You mean," I laugh, "that you took it again?"
Nina blushes hard. "I like to hear you play," she says, "and besides, who else is going to replace strings for you?"
I laugh again "one day we will be out of here Nina, and violin strings will never need to be changed by us again!"
Her face darkens slightly, "id better get back to the house," she says. "There are things to get done"

I wonder why she is acting strange, but not enough to ask.

I wish I had.
