Storm of Night

A fierce storm was brewing

As the wind and clouds were dueling

The heavy orange tinted air

Forewarned the surroundings to beware

As the blackening clouds churned

And the fury of the upcoming battle was earned

When the rolling hum of thunder clapped

It echoes against the ground as if it were slapped

The rebounding rumble in the sky

Shook lose their tears to cry

Readying the land for the storm to come

And overlapping the thunder drum

Was the large droplets of the cold rain

Pouring down in heavy streams as if from a drain.

The rain showered into puddles on the ground

Splashing like a water faucet sound

The earth turned into one massive lake

And the angry clouds weren't about to break

Through the darkness at bay

There was no light of day

Save for the flash of lightening

That moved through the clouds igniting

The edges of the sky

As of trying to electrify

With the force of the thundering clouds

The howling wind enshrouds

The rivers, mountains, plains, and trees

Echoing like the screams of banshees

The storm would last all night

With no morning in sight

But when the clouds would clear

The weather would still be severe

And a threat of new storm emerged

Until all evil is purged
