But as life goes on, so do relationships, time spent with friends, high school, graduation, old flames, and the new flame.
My sister had met a guy due to Jessica Amanda's best friend that changed our lives forever. It's Amanda's wedding day. They got married in Tennessee and came back for the wedding reception. Sadly when they, came back Amanda was pregnant. Understand why I sadly. We're dealing with diabetic here. A bad diabetic. But as all families are, we were excited.
When Amanda was 20 weeks pregnant we found out that she was having a girl. That day we also found out the baby didn't have the top of her skull. They begged Amanda to have an abortion. As Christian as Amanda was, she them no. Never feared the chance of dying. Never feared the chance and risk she was taking. She told them abortion was not in the answer.
Amanda named her Harley Grace Autrey. Even knowing what she knew, this baby had life in her belly. One night I was sitting by her and asked her could feel Harley move. Of course she said yes. Never did I realize she was going to go into labor that night. They wound up doing a c section on her because the baby almost killed her while she was pushing.
As soon as the baby was born she instantly died as doctors predicted. But she was beautiful she had brown Curley hair. Scrunched up nose. I felt so sorry that my sister could not have kids.
We spent December 21st at the graveyard burying this sweet innocent infant. A the tears flowed it was hard to comfort her. How do you comfort someone who has lost a child. A living child. One you carried for 9 months. Exact to term.
It was bittersweet, but sadly that's still not the end.
