My sister was diagnosed with diabetes at the age of 6. She fell out in the floor one day at the kitchen table having seizures and we didn't know what was wrong. We nearly lost her as a child. Everyday was a constant struggle. Her sugar. What she should eat and shouldn't eat. Carbohydrates. Her life was ruff.
She had faith bigger than a muster seed. She never realized how much I looked up to her. Always wore a smile. Loved cheating at monopoly. One night we were playing and as she recalled she was teaching me the rules. How is it every time somebody wins knowing their is no money in the middle of the monopoly bored. I got so mad at her I flipped the bored on her. Yes I was a sore loser I guess you could say. She really did cheat though.
My sister was 5 years older than I was. It was hard to understand her constant struggle everyday. I hated when she went to diabetic camp. She was always gone a week and I would be so bored at home until we went an got her. Life with her always made perfect since. She was my best friend.
