"Hey" I mumble, walking into the kitchen to grab breakfast. "Hi, darling" my mum says back to me, "How did you sleep?" she asks, looking down at the piece of toast she was putting jam on. I just shrugged "I slept okay" I lied. She smiled at me and nodded.
I don't think she cares as much about me as she pretends to. I don't think anyone but my brother actually cares about me. My brother tried to help, he did everything to try and find out why I was having these dreams, but he didn't find anything.
The college he was going to was 4 hours away, and I would do anything to go see him, even if it meant going on a bus for 4 hours. I couldn't call him, because I didn't know his number, and my parents and my sister wouldn't tell me what his number was. It's like they all hate him or something, but I don't know why.
I had a plan, and I needed my best friend Cassie, and my lying skills to help me with it. It was Saturday, so I wouldn't see her at school until Monday. I ran up to my room, and grabbed my mobile phone, I dialled Cassie's number. "Hey, I need your help, can you come over?" I say, hoping she would say yes. "Sure, I'll be over soon" she said back. Once we hung up, I jumped up to get dressed out of my Pyjamas. My room was already pretty clean except for some clothes on the floor, so I picked them up and threw them into my laundry basket.
When I heard banging on the front door, I ran down the stairs and opened the door "Heyyy" I said happily. I looked at Cassie, her long blonde hair which was slightly frizzy flowed down her back. Her blue eyes sparkled and her lips were curled into a smile "Hey, What do you need help with?" She said, stepping inside. "I'll explain once we're in my bedroom, I don't want anyone to hear about this except us" I grabbed her hand and started jumping up the stairs, Cassie following behind me. Once we got into my room, I closed the door and sat on the bed, no one will come into my bedroom, no one likes coming down to my bedroom because the hallway was dark and creepy, it was probably the scariest part of the house, and of course my bedroom is in this part of the house.
"So..." Cassie said, sitting on a beanbag next to the bed. I smiled and looked at the bed sheets which were light blue with pink flowers. "You know my brother, Adam?" I said. She nods and smiles "He sounds really nice" She says, she has never met him before, I've only talked about him. I stare at her, thinking about whether I should trust her or not, but that thought floated away from my thoughts because I knew I could trust her. "I want to go see him at his college, I miss him, and I need his help" I whisper, even though no one was in the house, or even near this part of the house.
Her eyes were as wide as saucers "But he lives 4 hours away! What will your mum say?" she almost shouts. I shrug and stare at her "I won't tell her, that's why I need your help, I'll say I'm going to your house for a sleepover next weekend, but you won't tell your mum about this 'sleepover' because I won't actually sleepover and I will be dropped off at your house by my mum, but when she leaves I'll run to the bus stop and take a bus to the college" I explain. She nods slowly and then starts to smile "Your finally going to see him again" she whispers. "I want to come with you, I really want to meet him" she says. My eyes widen and I start shaking my head "Your mum will kill me for taking you, and then she will kill you for coming" I say, standing up.
She shrugged and frowned "Okay, but you have to text me once you get there, and you have to tell me what he looks like! Take a photo, I have never even seen a photo of him, it's like he never even lived here" she mumbles, getting up off of the beanbag and walking over to my TV to grab the DVD of 'Pretty Woman'
