Jai POV

I had no idea my own brother where taking pills and didn't tell me. I mean yea sure we get into fights sometimes but that doesn't matter. We are still really close. I'm really happy though that he will quit with the pills. I'm also really happy that Michelle came back. Luke talked about her non-stop. Maybe now he will finally shut up. 

    Michelle left a few hours ago with Luke, leaving me at the house  with Hailey. We were sitting in my room, cuddling, and watching an Adam Sandler Movie Marathon.

    "You're cute," I told Hailey. She slightly blushed and smiled.

    SHe was about to say something when her phone beeped. 

    "Shit. I have to go. Com with me please? My dad seems really angry," Hailey said with a really scared look on her face.  The last time Hailey's dad was angry, he slapped her across the face and yelled at her.

    "Of course!" I got on and put a jacket on, and slipped my feet into my slippers. I followed Hailey out of the door.

Hailey POV

    Jai dropped me off a few houses away from where i live.

    "Thanks for driving me. Can you move closer to my house, with the lights off. If something bad happens call the cops please," I told Jai

    "Of course babe," he said, pecking my lips.

     I started walking up the drive way. That is when the lights on the porch turned on and my dad came storming out. He had a beer bottle in his hands.  He rose it up above his head and I thought he was going to throw it at me. He ended up smashing it on the porch railing.  Glass flew everywhere. I fell down and covered my head.

    My mom ran outside and tried to pull my dad away from coming to me. He ended up elbowing in the shoulder very hard. She stumbled backwards and couldn't move. My mom was the strongest woman i ever met and I loved her.

    My dad moved towards me and slapped me across my face a couple of times. I fell down onto the dewey grass. That is when I saw flashes of red and blue and a pair of feet running to me. I became unconcious.

I woke up to what seemed to be the next day. Looking down at me was a guy wearing a white lab coat. 

    "Where am I?" I asked sitting up and rubbing my head. My head, eye, and arm were hurting me very badly.

    "Oh you're awake! Good. And you are at the hospital. You were in a coma for about five days. Do you remember anything that happened the night you fell?" asked the doctor.

    I told him everything he can remember. He then started asking me questions; what's my name, what is my moms name, can I read his name on his name tag, who is my best friend, etc.

    "Ok Hailey, It seems like you aren't sufforing from any memory loss, so that is a good thing. And from what your boyfriend, Jai, said, that is accurate on what happened. You suffored from breaking your arm, recieving a black eye, and you fell and cut your head on a rock and recieved stitches. You will be in the hospital for the next week. Your mom is ok. She suffured from fainting but that is all. Your father was taken away to prison and he is serving for life," the doctor said. He then left and told me to get some rests and soon my friends and mom can come say hi. 

    The nurse propped me up n my bed and gave me hospital food. The food was a turkey sandwich, red jello, and apple juice. I was confused on why the doctor said that Jai was my boyfriend. I made sure to ask him about it later.

POV Michelle

    I was sitting in the waiting room with Jai, and Haileys mom. Luke went to go get us some food from the cafetiria. We have been sitting in the waiting room for the past week. 

    The doctor came over to us and told us that Hailey is awake and she is opened to visitors. 

    "I'll go with her mom first," I told Jai. He simply nodded.
