Lets fast forward a few years, I was kicked out of 11 foster homes for self harm, I guess they don't take to finding you past out on the floor bleeding profusly very well. Oh well now I'm living in a group home but they're sending me to a new home tomorrow I guess they have delt with kids in the past who self harm so they wont be so fast to throw me out. I was told they have 4 other teens living there and they're around my age, it might actually feel like I belong for once, that is if they can get past my shy shell, I get so nervouse around new people I guess thats another reason why the last few homes never worked out I never talked to them I was like a mute. I had nothing good to say. I guess I think to much thats why I don't talk. My dad raised me telling me to shut the hell up so I finally am.
I have to go to court next week and see my father, I hope to god he doesn't try tallking to me I will break down and collapse like I used to when I was a little kid when he would touch me. God I hate him.
I look back on my child hood and realize I don't have a single good memory, it's full of pain and torcher. I can't wait to get this restraining order on his nasty ass.
I look at the clock and it's 9:36, it's time to go shower and go to bed. I dread going to bed, i have nightmares from when I lived with my father, when he would beat me or when me would touch me and tell me to tell no one. I would wake up crying almost every night.
I wake up to my favorite song The Depths by Of Mice & Men go down stairs and get some cereal say good morning to the staff they tell me to put the cereal in the disposal they have a surprise for me so go up and get dressed. I go upstairs and put on my favorite Black Veil Brides shirt and a pairs of black skinnies and straighten my hair really fast. I get down stairs Darrel tells me the staff are out in the blue van and to hurry up, i threw on my chucks and ran out to the van. Devon one of the staff tells me we're going to Deny's for breakfast because I'm being discharged. I LOVE Deny's.
When we got back from Deny's I had to go pack up my stuff my roommate Sarah helped me she was so sad to see me go, I loved her she was the sweetest 13 year old I've ever met.
It was noon and that meant Deryk my new case worker would be here to pick me upand bring me to the new home, I went over and hugged everyone leaving Sarah for last, pulled out my teddy and gave it to her, told her to never forget me and I'll call her when I get the chance. I get in Deryk's car and he looks at me and see's the tears streaming down my face and give me a huge hug. I felt bad for getting his shirt all teary but he said he didn't mind.
Deryk is a great case worker he never gets mad at me and he puts up with my bull crap. He told me to look in the glove box, in there was a cell phone he told me happy early birthday and call him if I ever need anything.
We get to the Genish's house and I grab my bags and head inside, I know the drill by now always let Deryk go first. Inside I get welcomed by 3 teenagers, the girls name is Amanda, she's really pretty I can tell we're going to get along she's wearing an Of Mice & Men shirt. She takes one look at me puts her nose in the air and walks away, maybe we aren't going to get along she kinda acts like a bitch. The next one that greats me is a guy named Kevin he's 16, he told me how he's been here for 3 years and how I'm going to really like it here and he asks if he can take my bags to my room I said thank you, the last teen is Austin he's just like me, he's wearing a Black Veil Brides shirt.
"nice shirt" I said "thanks, you too" Austin replied he was telling me how Amanda is really nice after you get past the mean stage, he explains how I took the place of her best friend who was kicked out for having drugs on him. He told me how the Genish's have random body searches and drug searches so don't bring drugs into the house.
"what happens if they find cuts on us?" "they watch you closely and text you every hour can call every half hour they are really protective over us." He said
"they can't have kids of their own so they take in kids like us and try to set us straight" He said "So basically you know I'm a fuck up?" I asked "Oh pish posh you're not a fuck up you just had a tough life" He replied
"Well it's almost dinner time" Deryk said as he entered the room "Ella you know the rules behave okay? Love you kiddo" Deryk said "Love you too Deryk thanks for helping me and for the new phone, I'll text you tomorrow" I said
Dinner was completely silent it was as if no one was really there, it was different compared to the other foster homes I've been in. "Ella after dinner I'm going to do a body check on you then you should head to bed becuase you start school tomorrow" Said Mrs. Genish "Austin when you're done eating shower then body check" "Shit" He said under his breath, he must have cut recently. I'm not well off either I just cut 3 nights ago she's going to kill me coming into her house with cuts, oh well.
I get up from the table and throw my food away "Ella you didn't eat much are you okay?" Said Mr. Genish "oh yes sir, I don't eat much I'm watching my weight" I replied "Call me Alan" he said " well goodnight Alan" I said and went upstairs.
When I get upstairs I go in my room and shut the door and I had a flash back to my father raping me. I break down, I grab my razor and went at it, there was a pool of blood on the floor. There's a knock on the door, I shout just a minute "it's just me, Austin are you okay in there?" He shouts I don't reply. He comes in and see's all the blood runs in and grabs two black towels gives one to me tells me to try to stop the bleeding as he clean up the blood.
"Thank you" I said between sobs, he comes over and holds me tells me it'll be okay the Genish's will take good care of me he promises. I apologized for him having to see me this way and for bleeding and crying on him, he said no worries and got up and washed off and went to bed.
Kevin see's me crying and came in and gave me a hug and said the most special words to me "we're here for you, always I promise" and went to bed.
I get my stuff and call in Mrs. Genish, I tell her "Mrs. Genish before you find these on your own I just did these, I'm sorry" "Please, call me Sabrina and Hun I understand why do you think I took you in, I care about kids like you the mistreated I know it's going to be tough with you but we can do this I'm not mad but we have to bandage you up for school tomorrow okay?" She said "Oh, okay" I said choking back tears. "You all are the nicest a foster home has ever been to me I'm not used to it" I said. "Go in and shower dear then head to bed please" Sabrina says while walking away. "Sabrina? can you take this?" I said handing her my razor I don't want it anymore" I said knowing I have hundreds more hiding in my stuff. "G'night" I said
I wake up to my Of Mice & Men alarm as I get up I notice dried blood all over my sheets, "I guess I should tell Sabrina" I said to myself. I wen't into my bathroom right off my bedroom and wash up my arm. I go down stairs and eat breakfast, down there I see Austin Kevin and Amanda.
"Good morning losers!" Shouts Amanda "Morning" everyone mumbles back
"I heard you two losers were caught on the body check last night, haven't you learned to procrastinate? Or make up excuses? I do it all the time" Amanda brags
"I heard you got caught too" Said Austin
"I actually gave Sabrina my blade" I said. They all gasped "what?" I asked. They're going to be on your ass Kevin said, "I made that mistake too when I got here cause I wanted to stop" Austin said.
"They watched him for a month straight" said Kevin
"Fuck" I murmerd "I'm so screwed"
"Well you'll be on house arrest like me so we can get to know eachothera bit" said Amada.
"I'd love that, you seem really cool" I replied.
"thanks you do too" She said
We all finished our breakfast and raced upstairs to get ready for school.Good thing we all have our own bath rooms. I think this house is perfect but I would never tell anyone that.
I dig through my bags and found my straightner plug it in and let it heat up. I pull out my Ice Age Of Mice & Men shirt and black skinny jeans. I hurry up and straighten my hair, I run down stairs and Sabring stops me and pulls me into the health closet and wraps my arm up. I grabbed my black hoodie and slid it on. Austin, Amanda, and Kevin come running down the stairs. Sabrina pulls Austin into the health closet as well, I assume shes wrapping his arm too.
After Austin is done we run out to the bus stop, and the horror begins...
