They ran under trees and over roots as quick as deer could bound through a forest they knew by heart. They

took a sharp left and ended up back in the clearing where Chloe was. Chloe was laying a little farther away

passed out and her leg was twisted again. Mazy trotted over to Alexia. "She tried to get up but forgot about her

leg and twisted it and fell again and hit her head on the ground and passed out from the pain." Mazy explained

and edge of worry to her thoughts. Mazy loved Chloe like a friend and hated it when she got hurt or was in pain.

"Hold on," said Niki, "Did you reset her leg?" Alexia paused before answering. "Yes.. should that matter?"

"We'll, if you set it and she fell again it probably hadn't even started to heal, show me where the break is. I was

training to be a doctor." Alexia dragged Chloe over. It wasn't like she would feel it anyway. Niki bent down and

prodded the leg as she inspected where it had broken. "Cracked the fibula." She stated. "If you kept it set how

you had it it would have healed right, she just moved to fast and put to much pressure on it. She needs to stay

off it for a week. Get her on the horse and bring her to my place, I have actual wrap and setting materials and a

couch." Niki said all of this with so much authority, Alexia didn't want to ask how she managed to get a couch,

she just lightly, and as gently as possible helped Niki lift Chloe onto Mazy. They walked through the woods

about a mile along the river before coming to an advanced fort made from the landscape and flora in the area. A

thick high bramble wall made up the outer edges of a dome shape that sectioned off into a large tree stump.

Farther up the tree you could see a hammock and platform above the plat form had some kind of oversized

birds nest made of blankets, probably Goldie's bed. The entire thing was also connected to the next tree with

cloths and other things hanging from its thick branches. A screen enveloped this upper part protecting it from

any bugs and small birds. The river had been dug outward to create a small pond near, but not near enough to

flood, the house thingy.(see drawing of the "main tree") "This must have taken ages!" Alexia said in awe. Niki

smiled as she spoke ,"I used to wander out here as a kid and be gone for days before my parents even noticed. I

would camp here when they were on business trips and visiting family. It has been a work in progress since I

was about," she thought for a moment, "5." She concluded. Alexia had one like this back at home in the loft of

Mazy's stable. Furnished and everything. She would spend nights there in the summer or when her parents

weren't home. She would make up stories in the loft with Chloe, it was their favorite place besides the woods.

Niki had spent much more time on this house then she and Chloe had on the loft though, by far. It was perfectly

camouflaged unless you knew just where to look. It was threw a thicker part of the forest in a sort of hidden

clearing that couldn't be seen by air because of the immense tree making up part of the house, by the river
