Rachel lay awake that night, wondering why she felt so empty. She felt like something had come along and drained all the happiness out of her, leaving this sadness and depression that couldn't be solved. She felt empty.

She remembered how rudely Octavian had turned away with his cute blonde girlfriend, and wondered why she cared. Why did it matter to her?

She shook these thought away, and fell asleep, dreaming of things that she loved, and didn't make her feel empty.
