The beauty of Earth

The rain is coming down from the indefinite sky filling the earths mouth with water to drink. It's evaporated grating voice begging for more. The earth needs the water like I need oxygen in my lungs to breathe. That's when I realize. If I were the stars I would map out the sky. If I were the sea I would be a breezeless drift. If I were a fire I would only radiate warmth and never burn. If I were a song I would be a harmonious melody for only you to sing. If I were a book I would only be the one worth reading.  If I were the sun I would only shine down on you. But most of all if I were the rain I would give my water for the earth to drink. If I could be anything I would be beauty. But not for the corruptness of ones own desires. To enhance it and share it. Because that's what the earth needs.
