Chapter 26: Relief

I took both ends of the necklace and pulled it apart as hard as I could until I heard a "crack" I looked down and saw both ends torn apart. I smiled in accomplishment.

"It's not the necklace that got me through all the crap I went through, it's the meaning behind it. To not let anyone destroy my beauty. I don't need a necklace to be reminded of that, to be reminded to not let anyone break me. I have the people around me who remind me of that. So you still want a now broken necklace? Go ahead Jade because you can't hurt me anymore." I stated as I stepped closer to Jade who just looked shocked.

"Come on Jade there's no use in continuing this...just go home and go back to your old school." Tracy said in defeat. Jade looked down and nodded before walking away with Tracy. I turned around to see Apollo in shock and disappointment, Matt in just shock, Gia with a proud smile, Dana with a blank face but still in disbelief, and Asher well...just confused.

"I don't need a necklace ok? I know I worried you guys for a while now and I'm sorry for that but I'm all good now." I said giving them a reassuring smile. Gia walked up to me and hugged me.

"It's good to have you back girl." She stated.

"Yea boo!" Dana said joining the hug.

"Still shocked but damn girl!" Matt mumbled as he also hugged me.

"Still confused but..." Asher began to trail off as he also hugged me. After a while we broke apart and looked at Apollo was just standing there with a confused look

"We will leave you two alone..." Matt said as he walked away with Gia and Dana.

"I'll stay." Asher stated with a smile.

"Asher..go." Apollo demanded.

"Nah I'm good." Asher said until Apollo grabbed Asher's hat from off of his head and threw it far off in the hallway. Asher glared at Apollo before running after his hat.

"Same Apollo huh?" I stated with a chuckle but Apollo didn't move.

"You broke the necklace." He stated.

"Yup."

"And you didn't cry."

"Nope."

"How the hell did you find the strength to break the necklace in half?" Apollo asked raising an eyebrow.

"Well it's like I said before it was the meaning behind it." I said with a shrug.

"No, I mean the literal strength," Apollo explained,"You have no muscles."

I glared at him and slapped his arm hard.

"Was that suppose to hurt?" He asked sarcastically. I glared even more at him and hit him again.

"So..am I forgiven?" Apollo asked with a smirk.

"You didn't even apologize you idiot!" I yelled.

"I don't do apologies." He stated. I held my hands up and began to walk away until he grabbed my hand to stop me,"but for you...I'll make an exception."

I smiled as I looked up at him and he intertwined our hands.

"I'm sorry..." He said sincerely.

"You're forgiven." I stated with a smile earning a smile back from him. I hugged him tight and he hesitated before hugging me back.

"So a little bird told me that you had feelings for me.." Apollo said as he trailed off.

"What-" I started confused until I looked up in realization ,"it was either Asher or Dana."

"Actually Matt, but good guess." Apollo said with a laugh that was like music to my ears.

"Well this is the part where you say if you feel the same.." I said trailing off.

"That is for me to know and for you to figure out." He said with a smirk as I glared at him. Apollo laughed as he put his arm around my shoulder leading me towards our wonderful group of friends.

Note to sarcasm.

The minute Gia and Dana saw Apollo's arms around me they lit up like Christmas trees and smirked. I gave them a look and mouthed "I don't know" they thought about if for a moment until they understood what I meant. What I wasn't sure about was whether he was doing this because he liked me or because he feels bad. I know Asher and Matt told me that Apollo liked me but I need to hear it from Apollo in order to believe it.

I sighed as I out my hand on my neck feeling slightly empty. I knew that once my mom sees that my necklace is gonna she'll be worried and upset. I have to tell her the truth just not in front of my dad. I'll try and wait until the divorce in finalized which is in a couple of months. Then Jionni and my dad will be off to New York and it'll just be me and my mom and these guys. I smiled in amusement at the thought of just us and at the thought of freedom.

Freedom from all the drama.

"What are you smiling about?" Apollo asked with a smirk

"Nothing." I stated still smiling. Apollo raised an eyebrow but left me alone and continued talking to Asher about throwing his hat.

"I'm just saying that it was very rude." Asher stated with anger.

"And Im just saying that you're an idiot for not seeing it coming." Apollo yelled back.

"And I'm just saying that you're mean." Asher yelled.

"And I'm just saying that you guys should shut up!" Dana snapped.

"Guess It didn't take long for us to go back to normal." Gia said with a smile.

"Tell me about it." Matt said rolling his eyes as he pulled a book out of his book bag. Wait a minute if we've been in school all this time then-

"Oh my god I just realized something!" I yelled.

"What's?" Matt asked,

"WERE IN SCHOOL!" I shouted.

"Yea no shit Sherlock." Apollo said emotionless.

Well so much for sweet Apollo.

"No! I know that but our classes! What period is next?" I panicked.

"Lunch." Dana said looking at the clock.

"We missed five periods!" I exclaimed.

"Chill babe, we'll just leave school then and go somewhere else, no one will even know we came."Apollo said. I nodded until reality hit me like a bat.

Babe?

Did Apollo just call me babe?

"Babe?" I questioned confused,

"Oh uh..."Apollo trailed off as his cheeks became red.

"You're blushing!" I stated shocked.

"No I'm not!" He yelled.

"Then is your face naturally red?" Asher asked with a smirk.

"I hate all of you." Apollo stated as he looked away getting redder.

I just made Apollo Kings blush.

I am currently having a fangirl moment!

I couldn't help but smile wide earning a weird look from Apollo.
