Princess luna trotted around the bookstore, looking in shelves and grunting. She trotted to the store clerk and asked "where is the book of scootaloo's family tree?"
The store clerk shrugged, then trotted back to the counter. The alicorn princess trotted out of the store, frustrated. Her sister awaited her outside, along with scootaloo. "So, did you find it?" Scootaloo asked with a gleeful smile.
"I'm afraid not" Princess luna replied with pity in her tone. Scootaloo wore a depressed look on her face. "I guess I'll never know who my mother and father were. Thanks anyway." She sadly walked away.
"Hmm. I'm curious. Who was our mother?" Princess luna asked princess celestia, with concern in her tone.
Princess celestia grew silent. She grew a bit nervous. Suddenly, her stomach grumbled.
"Hey! How about we get lunch?" Princess Celestia snapped. Princess luna nodded and walked beside her sister. Princess luna felt like her sister was hiding something. She didn't pay much attention to it.
They came across a restaurant on the edge of ponyville. Princess twilight was eating there, along with her five friends. Princess luna wanted to greet them, but her stomach was refusing. She smiled at them, and Twilight smiled back.
Princess luna called to the waiter, but the waiter shook in fear and ran in a room. Princess luna sighed and slammed her head against a table. "Why does everypony hate me?" She asked herself softly.
Princess celestia patted her sister on her head. Princess luna saw as the waiter returned and smiled at her sister, and gave her a cheeseburger. Princess celestia sat down beside her sister.
Princess Celestia saw the pain in Luna's eyes. "How come thou gets everything thou desires?" Princess luna whispered. "You want my cheeseburger?"
"No!" Princess luna shouted, banging the table with her hooves. Princess celestia's cheeseburger flew, then landed on the floor. "Sister, are you ok?" She asked.
Princess luna grunted and left the restaurant. Princess celestia followed. "Oh, I am princess celestia! Everypony enjoy my sun! Not like I care what others think!" Princess luna mimicked Celestia rudely.
"But everypony enjoys my sun..." Princess celestia said quietly.
"Exactly!" Princess luna raged.
Princess celestia noticed a black smoke surrounding her. "Sister...stop this now!" Princess luna noticed, and she calmed down a bit. "Look, I just... Need some time alone."
Princess celestia nodded as princess luna left. Luna grunted silently. "Why don't they adore me?" She said to herself as her unhappiness grew. Princess luna went into her sleeping chamber to think.
She heard a knock on the door. She opened it, revealing her "beloved" sister, princess celestia. "Go away" princess luna mumbled. Celestia was a bit upset. "Sister, are you alright?" She asked.
"No! Why is it always sister this, sister that! Why can't I have a mother to speak with?" Princess luna said. "Oh luna. I... I..." Princess Celestia couldn't find the words to say to luna. "I'm so sorry."
"Sorry for what?" Princess luna asked.

Princess looked at princess luna. She had to tell her one day. Just not today. Princess celestia remembered how it all happened.

Princess celestia rubbed her belly, with her niece, cadance, standing right beside her. "Auntie, you can't take care of a foal just like that. You have to have bits, and a room. Food is also required. Besides, what are you going to name it?" Princess cadance said, clearly making a point.
"Well, I'm immortal, and I've grown to my maximum immortality age. Plus, I've got the food and room thing covered. It's fine." Princess celestia said. She was wearing a ponytail lol sorry I said ponytail lolololol and she was wearing a yellow headband.
Princess cadance's hair was also in a ponytail, with a blue ribbon holding it in it's place. "But he's not going to take care of you..." Cadance sighed.

"It's a mare!" The nurse exclaimed, giving the baby to celestia. Celestia smiled weakly. "I'll name you... Luna!"

"You can't tell the baby! It will ruin the balance of equestria, maybe even the universe!" Cadance said. Celestia panicked. "I will not leave my baby!" She said. "Then you can just call the baby your sister." Celestia sighed and nodded.
"Hello? Tia? Thou zoned out for like a whole minute there!" Princess luna said. Celestia stared at her daughter. "I'm sorry!" Celestia apologized. Princess luna grunted silently. Suddenly, a guard burst through the door. "Princess luna, princess celestia, it's discord."

Princess luna and princess celestia looked at discord with unamused expressions. "What now discord?" Princess luna asked harshly. Discord turned to the two princesses. "Just in time." Discord snapped his fingers, making candy necklaces appear on the two princesses.
"You know, since I'm reformed, I could maybe share a nice meal with my favorite princesses." Discord scoffed. Princess celestia stayed silent. "Stop this nonsense! I'll turn you to stone if I have to!" Princess luna snapped at the draqonequus.
Discord smirked. "Oh come now luna. You would never want to turn your own father to stone." Discorded shot back. Princess luna froze. No. It couldn't be true. This can't be real. It has to be a dream! "L-liar!" Princess luna denied and blocked out discord's words.
