Liam's POV:
I awoke with Sarah cradled in my arms, it must have been late morning by this time. We had fallen asleep after a very long, deep and meaningful conversation last night. We had booked a hotel where we are going to stay for the next three nights. I also talked about her past with her, she ended up crying. I felt so bad for touching her like that; doing something that was so stupid. I felt absolutely horrible for it. She didn't deserve to go through something like that, not with what she had already been through in her teenage years. She is such a fragile, emotional, sensitive, beautiful girl. Someone that I am so lucky to have in my life, yet I don't think she really does understand how important she is to me, she is one of my best friends and I feel like last night we had only become closer.
I gently nudged her shoulder with my hand and she fluttered her eyelids open. She sucked in a big huff of air and exhaled deeply as she sat up and stretched her arms out. I smiled at her childlike action. We didn't speak a word as we got up and ate breakfast. I don't think that it was awkward either. I was just reliving last night in my head, thinking about everything she had told me that was unknown to most people. She had told me that I was the first boy she had properly vented too in a long time; I assume Lucy knew but she never clarified it. It felt good to know that she could trust me.
We had finished eating our toast and both walked out of the kitchen together. We walked down the hallway and into Sarah's room; I sat on the bed as I watched her rummage through her draws. Her top rode up at the back, exposing some of her pale skin.
She soon threw over her shoulder a pair of black jeans and a plain white polo. After she shut the draw she turned around and explained, "Sorry I never gave that back to you earlier, I always seemed to forget. You had left it here quite a few weeks ago and I kept forgetting to bring it with me when I saw you, but now it comes in handy since you don't have a change of clothes" she giggled lightly. "I was wondering where that went!," I played along. She smiled, "I'm going to go and have a shower, you can go to the bathroom upstairs if you would like. I'll meet you down here in 45 minutes, ready to go okay?" she said as she stood up and grabbed the clothes that hung of the edge of her desk chair. "Sure, when you are done if you want to pack a bag to take to the hotel, we can then go back to my place so I can grab some stuff, okay?" I asked. "Sure" She simply replied walking over to the bathroom and closing the door.
I stood up and headed towards her bedroom door to go upstairs. She opened the door quickly and looked at me. "Liam... Do you still have feelings for Danielle?" she asked with a curious expression leaking into her features. I hadn't properly thought about the answer to this myself, but my lips seemed to let out the word "No" without me even thinking. She smiled and shut the door. I then smiled too. I seemed so confident with my answer. I was proud of myself that I had gotten over her so quickly yet I still can't seem to understand why. Maybe it was the fact that she had been hiding something from me for a while and maybe it was that I knew she hadn't really loved me for god knows how long, and honestly, that hurt...a lot.
I walked up the stairs and to the bathroom, quickly stripping down my clothes and turning the water on in the shower.
Harry's POV:
Lucy had just told me that she loved me. She actually spoke the words, I found myself saying them to her too. It was the first time I actually felt confident with them as well. With Taylor it seemed like a phrase that never seemed to carry emotion, but with Lucy it did.
I carefully placed her down on the bed as I kissed her lips softly and meaningfully. I lay down next to her as she smiled at me. "What's the day today?" I asked. "Saturday" she replied. I smiled, "Do we have to go practise today?" I put my 'puppy dog' expression on and watched as her cheeks rose into a smile. She then looked thoughtfully up at the ceiling and made her fingers in to an 'L' like shape in which she placed under her chin. "I think that you should go! You could never get your footsteps right, you looked like a girl walking in a pair of heels!" she giggled. "Excuse me! I looked like a girl! Have you seen these guns?"I jokingly asked as I put up my arm and flexed my biceps. She frowned and gently squeezed my muscles. "Are you kidding me? Your arms are flimsy! Look, there is barely anything there! Have a look at these babies!"She put up her arm closest to me, letting her short sleeve fall down to her shoulder. She flexed and then put her other hand behind and pushed it up even more. A proud look spread across her face, her eyes locked with mine."You're a cheat!" I said, glancing over arm and looking at her hand."Well, it may not look like I have guns but I sure can..." She trailed off and then grabbed my biceps, pinning me to the bed and then straddling my waist "Use them" she finished huffing. I tried to move my arms but I couldn't, maybe I was too phased by the beautiful woman trying to prove herself to me.
