Chapter 6 / Regina's Goodbye

Regina's POV

As I settled down with Emma and everyone in the waiting room I covered my face in my hands and didn't make a sound. I thought about him and only him. I couldn't imagine my life without him. He hadn't been in my life for a long time but he was the only one who truly loved me.

"You doing okay?" Emma asked placing a hand on my shoulder.

"Don't." I said shaking my head.

"Regina, it's going to be alright.." Snow said trying to comfort me.

I picked my hands up angrily.

"Really? You can't be serious. My-" I paused.

"My friend is in there dying and you are telling me everything is going to be okay? He was injured badly!" I said with a louder tone.

"Regina, you wouldn't be crying if he was just a friend." Emma said.

I stayed silent and bit my lip.

"Miss Mills." A doctor called.

I sat up quickly and rushed over to the doctor.

"Is he okay?" I asked.

The doctor shook his head no.

"He might not make it.." The doctor finished.

"But he has a son.. Where will he go?" I asked.

"He'll be put in the foster system." The doctor replied with a smile.

I frowned.

"You are terrible. He won't know anybody!" I shouted.

"Are you willing to adopt him?" The doctor asked.

My heart dropped. Everything in my body stopped moving.

I ignored the question.

"Can I say goodbye?" I asked with tears already coming.

He nodded and stepped away. I walked quickly to his room to find his body hooked up to lots of machines.

"He's in a coma." A nurse explained as she walked out of the room.

I nodded sadly and looked over at Robin.

"This is it I guess." I said sitting down next to his bed.

I sighed and took a deep breath but that still couldn't stop the tears.

"Thank you for being there for me and-" I paused wiping away some tears.

"And bringing so much joy into my life in such a small amount of days." I whispered feeling a pain in my stomach.

I held my hand to my necklace that he had gave me.

"I will never know how you charmed me so fast." I said with a small smile.

"But you did." I said breaking into tears.

"But I'm telling you now. If something happens I will take Roland. I will not let him be taken to foster care and I will not let him feel alone." I said bringing my hand to his face.

"I promise." I whispered.

"Now. Before I can hurt myself even more I need to cut to the chase." I said.

"I love you." I said leaning in closer to him slowly.

I approached his lips and before kissing him wiped my tears. My hands cupped around his face and I crashed my lips into his.

Robin's POV

As her lips crashed into my body I felt a force of energy pull me towards a bright light.

"Your time has come." A voice called.

"No! I can't leave her here!" I shouted trying to stay back with Regina.

"It's either you wake up in pain, or you wake up in a beautiful land that pain is no such thing." The voice said firmly.

"I'd rather be with her!" I shouted as the light pulled be closer.

"Is that your final decision?" The voice asked.

I looked at Regina and My body next to her.

"Yes!" I shouted.

Everything went black and there was a moment of silence before I could feel again. I opened my eyes feeling the cuts and everything. But the other thing I saw was Regina's head resting on my chest. I moved my hand over to her slowly and placed my hand on her back. She lifted her head up slowly to look at me.

"Robin?" She whispered with such pleasure in her voice.

"I heard every word." I stated placing my hand under her chin.

"I thought you were gonna die." She whispered with tears forming quickly in her eyes.

"With you here alone? Not possible." I said.

She smiled weakly as Emma and others came in.

"God I love you.." Regina said wrapping her hands around me.

"I love you most." I replied wrapping my hands around her back and one hand on top of her head.
