Her body became rigid, like a stone sitting on a sponge. Marcus finished his breakfast quickly and came over to hug his daughter good bye. Snapping out of her shock, she hugged him back and kissed his cheek.

Of course he took his grand old time gathering his things so that he could leave. Bella continued to "watch" TV. Her dad could not leave fast enough. Eventually he was gone and Bella prayed that he wouldn't have to come back for something he forgot. The last thing she wanted to deal with was her father walking in and seeing her speaking with a boy in a hospital gown that was frankly, too small. He looked like he had been injured badly and the thought worried her deeply. She glanced out the window, surprised that Noah was no longer out there trying to get her attention, like he had been for the past few minutes.

'Goodness gracious.'
Bella continued to have this thought over and over again. She stood up and began to make her way outside to find him. She didn't make it two steps before she heard a huge crash upstairs.

Bella hustled up there, knowing that it had to be Noah. She flung open her bedroom door.
There stood a wolf. She blinked. Then she shut the door and stared blankly at it.
'What was in that cereal? This cannot be happening. You're losing your mind, it's official.' She said to herself. Scoffing at her ridiculousness, she opened the door again, confident she was making it up.

She wasn't.
She just stood there, gaping. The wolf whimpered and sat on its haunches before laying down completely. She didn't dare breathe.

Bella began to find her bearings. Her window was shattered and--and--

'There is a fucking wolf in my room.'

'ThErE Is A FucKinG WOLF IN MY DAMN ROOM.'

So, she did the next logical thing; she ran.

~
Noah stood up as she bolted. He stayed still for a beat and went after her. He knew that he should probably shift, but something like this just had to be explained quickly and blatantly. Frankly, he wanted her to calm down before he confused her more.

He managed to catch up to her as she reached the kitchen. He let out a small yelp to get her attention. Her eyes flicked back at him and she hustled faster.

Noah knew that if she left the house, his mistake would quickly blow up. He galloped up to her, trying not to seem menacing. He latched his jaws onto her shirt as gently as he could, and tugged her to a stop. They were by the front door now and she struggled greatly.

Not knowing what to do, Noah flicked his head, causing Bella to fall on her butt. He took the opportunity to lean forward and place his paws onto her raging form. Fear spiked out of her eyes into his and it felt awful. He hated knowing that he was scaring her.

He whimpered and gently rested his head on her chest. She froze. He felt his chest rumble as the satisfaction of touching her fell over him. He turned and nuzzled his snout in the crook of Bella's neck.

~
'Shit shit shit shit shit' Bella knew that something wasn't right. The wolf nuzzled into her neck and with out meaning to, she sighed. Immediately she tensed up again, afraid to even blink. The wolf slowly moved its head up, but kept her pinned down. Its eyes were right in front of her face. That's when she screamed.

~
Noah yelped in pain as her shrill shriek bludgeoned his ears. They began ringing, like there were a thousand Bella's screaming. Heat raged down his body, starting from his inner ear drums. It emanated through his cells like a shock wave. His body began to convulse like he had ran his hand across an electric fence.

His chest felt like a towel that was being ringed out. It felt increasingly tighter and tighter.

'Focus, Noah, focus.' He chided to himself. He tried to focus on one thing and use to to calm down. He managed to get his hands to fall next to his face, his left cheek currently smushed to the floor.
