History as Follows
After the death of the Emperor Lelouch vi Britannia, the world was stable for once. Nations were at peace, but just how long do you think that'll last? It will be only a decade later when Britannia begins to seize control of other nations again. One being the Philippines, or Area 20. Half of these islands' people were shipped to Japan to restore a balance under the great empire's domain. Discrimination evolved to every race but the Britannians. With all of it under their thumb again, it seemed the rebellion of Zero and the Black Knights was in vain. The very memory has been washed over with despair. Although, many beg to differ, as the memory of the rebellion never fades.....
A Day to Remember
Nothing is precious to me anymore. No possessions, no people, and no memories now. To my most spectacular and unusual surprise, the tides have changed. The lives of billions will take a drastic turn for the abnormal, mine in particular. It commenced on the third day of August in the year 2042, but it truly dawned much earlier.....several months ago.
1. A Twenty and who knows?
"In 2010, the great Britannian army assumed the nation of Japan and Japan was named Area 11, thus, discrimination being at an all time high." The teacher rambled on for the full two hours needed during class as Andrew roughly jotted down his notes. Once completed, he examined his notes with his blue disapproving eyes. Then he sighed. These are worthless! I can't read them! I don't even study half the time. A loud thud caught his attention. The teacher closed the book and pushed it to the side, rubbing his temples. He mumbled to himself, something like he hated his job. He gave a long sigh and stood up. "Are there any question? There is a test at the end of the week, and I expect to see your notes, students." Andrew lazily held his head in his hands, messing up his dark brown hair passed his pale complexion and grumbled to himself.
It was quiet. Then a dark skinned hand cautiously went up, blocking Andrew's view a brief moment. He looked down, as everyone did, at the twenty. Thick, black hair just barely covered his brown eyes. "Sir, how did Area 11's name change back to Japan?"
Confused looks surrounded him. Area 11? He means the same one I'm thinking, right? Andrew pondered the question, but no logical memory aided him. The teacher closed his eyes as he walked out to the front of his desk. "Well, Tsuyo, I don't recall that."
"No, I meant sometime after 2010 Japan took its name back. For a while, at least. I wanted to know why." Tsuyo explained politely.
The teacher mumbled again, turning around. "Who knows...?" Just then the bell rang signaling the end of the day. With the question left hanging in the air, the school building was emptied.
Andrew exited the classroom, the last one to leave. He just couldn't put his finger on the answer. I didn't even know they got it back. Then again, it makes sense since the books never explained much about the war. Or the fact that Britannia lost. He turned the corner, adjusted his shoulder backpack, and continued walking. Just how did that happen? It must have been powerful if it wiped it out. I'm just glad that Filipino asked and not me. That 'twenty'...
Minutes later he sat comfortably on the subway leaning his head back and closing his eyes. Everyone had the fatigue of a long day as they passed numerous tall buildings. Just when he started to doze off turbulence woke him, along with a booming voice. The tall commander shouted, "Out of my way, twenty." Ah! That's Tsuyo. Andrew noticed. The soldier pushed Tsuyo hard enough to hit the bar he held onto in the subway car. A line of soldiers marched through it without the slightest 'excuse me' involved, not that the civilians expected it. Tsuyo held his head from a small bruise on the back of his head. He shifted left to remove himself, but it took many cars to find an empty seat without many eyes. He stayed and sat down. I've got to talk to him. Andrew began to make his way to him.
