I woke up to the most dreadful noise on this planet. My alarm. I fiddle around with my phone until I finally hit the snooze button. And when my head hits the pillow, I'm snoring my way to heaven.
8 minutes is all it takes for a dream to become a nightmare. I was sitting by the fire, roasting a marshmallow and singing along to Christmas carols with my brother and mum and all of a sudden the scene changes... I'm in a dark room, a light flickering in the distance and the only thing I can see are two red eyes. I scream for my mum but she isn't coming to tear me away from the nightmare. I start to panic and I try to escape but the red eyes are getting closer and closer. And all of a sudden I am woken by my alarm clock. Again. I shoot up out of bed and walk back and forth shaking my head as I picture the last thing I saw in the dream. Something I would never tell anyone. Ever.

This is really short as it is meant for being kind of like a tease to what the real book is about. If any of you have any ideas as to where this may be going please leave a comment (:
