PROLOGUE
The story of the Dragons is a long and dreary one. A long, long time ago, the vast world we all know and love was ruled by Dragons. Dragons ruled virtually everything, and acted as extreme dictators. Humans, Felinar, Goblins, Werewolves, Argantons, Vampires... you name it. The Dragons were close to enslaving literally every other race.
The last race to enslave was known as the Knives. They were a sub-race of humans designed by the Twelve Gods of Sola to defeat the dragons. And among the Knives was their champion, the Dragonspawn.
The Dragonspawn was essentially a dragon in a different race's body. This was key for the Knives because it meant they had a weapon no other race had. The Dragonspawn had power that rivaled the Dragons, and along with the help of the Knives, the Dragonspawn was able to overthrow the malevolent rule of the Dragons.
After years of hunting the remaining Dragons down, the Knives had managed to extinct an entire race. The spot where the original Dragon, Arcluse, was finally vanquished after years of hunting and fighting, was built into a city, and was named Dragontopia, the capital city of modern day Cloudrend.
The city had been built to hold peace for all of the races of Cloudrend. The threat of the Dragons was vanquished, the Dragons themselves were extinct, and Cloudrend was completely peaceful. The inhabitants of Cloudrend had all grown up with the belief that everything was safe and eternally peaceful.
Until now.

The Dragonspawn Unveiled
CHAPTER ONE
Dragons
'My life is over,' I thought as I walked down the path towards Redwalk. I was a fugitive on the run at this point. You probably don't understand, huh? Let me start from the beginning.
My name is Char-gar Gothikon. I am a Felinar native, and also one of the best damn thieves in all of Cloudrend. Well, I was. That was before everything went to Luna.
I had grown up around Dragontopia, the capital city of Cloudrend. Life for us was rough. City guards didn't trust us Felinar, so we had to move around a lot. By reputation, Felinar had been categorized into thieves, smugglers, bandits, you name it.
That's where my nature comes from. I grew up smuggling supplies from the city to my group's campsite, and I was pretty damn good at it. Which is also where my current situation falls.
I was on a heist in the Temple of Arcluse. The objective seemed simple enough: get in, grab an amulet, get out. Well, it sure as Luna wasn't that simple. When I reached the burial chambers, I was stopped by a man.
Well, turns out this "man" was actually a Troogr. I had never seen one for myself, but I heard tales of them. I heard that they were an ancient race of humans who founded Dragontopia after hunting down and killing the previous residents; Dragons.
Anyway, the Troogr looked at me for a moment, then froze. It just stared at me unwaveringly. I started to move past it and it began to speak.
"Adr ouh grot, nu fus, Dovaspen," it said.
I had no clue what it had just said, and frankly, I was getting a bit freaked out.
I had begun to move around it when I heard an ear piercing shriek.
"Fus," was the only word I could make out of it. Considering the Troogr had just said it, too, I was dead scared.
I looked into the room in front of me and found a truly amazing sight. The Dragon Arcluse. The original inhabitant of Dragontopia. Long thought to be dead.
