*Rose's POV*

Looking at the sky now is one thing I find comfort in...sometimes life down here is so much more chaotic. Well, that's what it seems like to me.

Mom has always been way overprotective. I understand that, but it is also annoying. A kid has to learn to be independent. Now that I'm nineteen, an adult...I can be on my own. Same with my brother, Markus whose sixteen.

"Hey catch!"

I see Markus throw a blueberry at me.

I catch it and then pop it into my mouth. Now that we're free of President Snow, we can have things like blueberries, oranges, grapes, pineapples, etc.

"That was mine, I only told you to catch it!" Markus growls.

"Too bad so sad." I say sarcastically.

My brother then wrestles me to the ground. I pin him only to be flipped over onto my back.

"Oww! What the heck was that for?!" I yell.

"What? I'm just messing around. Don't be so uptight." He says looking away from me and wiping off the dirt and leaves.

Little brothers...I think.

"It's just a blueberry! Don't be so uptight." I mock.

"Whatever, I'm going to buy some more paper. Buttercup and her kitten's need some more bedding." He mutters.

"Ohh...okay." I say.

We both part our ways and I head toward's my mom and dad's house. We are pretty wealthy, not to brag or anything. Markus and I have helped the people rebuild. Some much death has happened in 12...I sigh. Including my dad, Peeta's mom and dad.

I open the door to my house and see my dad baking loaves of bread. He loves baking, I think. I chuckle.

"Welcome back Rose." He greets me. I kick off my hiking boots and grab and apple off the counter.

"Hey dad." I reply.

I stop to look into a mirror that's on the wall in one of the hallways. I have my mom's dark brown hair and my dad's blue eyes. I love my eyes, they have a unique color to it.

I reach my bedroom and flop onto my bed, then I look over at the buttercup and her kitten's. They're so beautiful. I gently stroke Buttercup's fur and she purrs.

She's been alive for a long time. My mom used to hate her, but since my aunt Prim or Primrose died, I guess they've been...friends.

Speaking of Primrose...I'm named Rose in honor of her. My mom wanted that as my name so she would not forget her beloved friend.

I hear footsteps behind me and I turn around.

"Hey mom."
