Lost Gem

Chpt.1

"How could you lose her like that?!" Yelled Emerald. He cared the most for Kyanite.

"I don't know where she went!" Yelled back Hematite. Ametrine and Sunstone watched them yell back and forth until Sunstone had enough. He stood in between them.

"Look, you two can either stop arguing and actually look for her. Or you can keep arguing and let her go through what ever she is," He waited for an answer. "That's what I thought. Hemmy when was the last you saw her?" He thought for a second.

" She said she was going for a walk out in the woods. I asked if I should get Emy, but she said she would be fine." He replied.

"Then we start there. Let's go maybe Silver can track her." Sunstone had a pet wolf, Silver, for a while and trained it to find. Emerald gave it one of Kyanite's arrows. It smelled it and began running. They followed it, but Emerald was following the closest behind.

~Kyanite's POV~

I woke up to see the sky, and another gem? He was kinda cute, but I needed to know who this was. I opened my eyes completely once they got used to the light. I turned my head to see where we were going. There was 3 other gems ahead of us. Two girls and one other guy. I saw the gem carrying me right now looked down at me. He looked back up at the other gems.

"She's awake..." he announced just loud enough for them to hear. They turned and stopped. "Can you walk?" He looked down at me again. I nodded. He put me down and it took me a second to realize where we were. Just some woods, and from where I lived there wasn't any near.

"How are you feeling, Kyanite?" Asked the other guy. A normal toned voice. He had to be the leader. Talked just like one. I nodded then realized something.

"How do you know my name?" I looked at all of them.

"Oh! I tested you."

"Tested? For what? How?!" Why are these gems testing on me???

"Woah calm down," he held his hands up. "We just used a piece of hair, that's all." I was calmed down a little more now.

"Why am I here...?" They all looked at the gem I first saw. I looked at him.

"I found you just laying on the ground. You were hurt, you never poofed."

"Um thanks, I should probably be getting home. My friends are probably worried. What's today?" They looked at each other.

"Wednesday." Said one of the girl gems, she had to be full gem. She was all purple. I started freaking out when she answered.

"The last I remember seeing them was on a Thursday. They're gonna kill me!" They had alerted faces.

"Maybe we can find them!" Said the other girl, she didn't seem all gem. Maybe she was a neko or something, she had cat ears and tail. At least she was a trying to calm me down.

"Where was the last you saw them?" Asked the leader.

"Athens..."

"We're in Athens, Georgia."

"This is the wrong Athens. I need Alabama."

"That's a long way, it takes hours just driving."

"It's ok, I can go alone. I'll find my way." I'm pretty sure I can. I turned a began to walk, but one of them stopped me by grabbing my arm.

"Wait, stay," We all looked at him. "You should wait until your gem heals."

"Oh yeah, ok." He let go realizing he did grab me. It as awkward until the Fearless Leader broke the silence.

"Well let's head home. Come on, guys," He turned and continued walking the way we were originally going. "I'm Calcite by the way. The pink one is Morganite," he referred to the pink girl. "He's Rhyolite," the one I first saw." She's Tiger-Eye." I nodded

"I guess you know who I am..."I looked around at the woods we were in.

"Yeah, so who are your friends that are gonna kill you?" He asked. I nervously laughed.

"Sunstone, Ametrine, Hematite...and Emerald," I awkwardly paused before saying Emeralds name. Calcite broke the silence again. Always count on this guy.

"I swear I remember an Emerald from somewhere, is he like 8 feet tall?" I nodded. "Of course he's green...short hair?" I nodded and looked at him. "Funny, overprotective, and thinks out loud sometimes?" I stopped and stared at him.

"Do you know Emy?"

"Apparently!" He smiled and pulled me along with them. I felt sleepy again, but then again I was wide awake. I yawned and then saw my arm flash a little. I blinked a couple times to make sure I wasn't seeing things. I didn't really need sleep. I wasn't full gem, but neither side of me needed sleep. Rhyolite was behind me and noticed me walking slower than I was. He walked beside me.

"Are you ok?" He whispered. I nodded, then shook my head no.

"I'm suddenly tired, but I'm not tired. And I swear I saw my arm flash on and off."

"Your gem is causing that." He picked me up. "Get some rest, you need it." I didn't say anything back. I laid my head on his chest and stayed there listening to his steady heart beat. Trying to keep myself awake I traced the pattern on his shirt. There was more lines but they weren't on the shirt. I traced them and realized it had to be his abs. I heard his heart beat go slightly faster and his grip got slightly tighter. Yepp. I looked up at him and he was red, even smiling a little. I smiled holding in my laugh and drifted off to sleep. Maybe I could stay a while, it won't be bad. Right?
