"SHE'S going to break you, you know," his uncle said when the rest of the group left earlier. "If you're not careful, this whole thing might blow up in our faces. There's a reason why her sister didn't want you to remember."
Ah, so it goes both ways. He was going to have her killed. And according to the Captain, she was going to break him. Prophecies were funny things, except when you were in them. It took all the strength in him to not just stop, give himself time and ask, even just for a second, Why me?
The thing was he- well, they, since he should probably get used to that for a while, didn't have the time.
And it was not like someone was going to stop and give him their own time to answer a question even they themselves most likely didn't know the answer to.
So he didn't.
Wesley knew why his uncle agreed to the contract. He knew that even though he didn't say it and acted mad, his uncle trusted his judgement. That was all he needed. Wesley walked towards the door, twisted the knob with his hand and led himself out. Before he closed it again, he said, "See you in a few weeks, Uncle."
