Through the rainy night, a woman walked. Beaten and scarred, she limped, two children sleeping quietly in her arms. Bleeding badly, her breathing was fast and heavy. However, she needed to be keep going. She needed the two infants in her arm to be somewhere warm and safe. She kept walking slowly, her right leg injured badly, until she approached what looked to her like a blurry building.

"Shoot," she thought, "I'm getting tired, and my legs are giving out..."

But even as she thought that, she refused to give up; not when she was so close. Dragging her wounded leg with her, she walked to the front doors, noticing the cross on the top of the building. Her weak, shaky hands pushed the wooden doors open and she stumbled down the aisle, a priest quickly noticing and rushing to her side. He asked her if she was alright, but her mind was not on her current condition.

"P-Please.... t-take them...." she breathed painfully, revealing the two peacefully asleep babies in her arms. The Priest's eyes widened, obviously speechless. "y-you must.... t-take care of them... p-please.... i'm begging of you..." She continued, weakly nudging a child towards him. "R-Rune..." She uttered the little girl's name, who was wrapped in a comfy white blanket and had the white hair to match. "N-N... Naoto..." She recalled her little boy's name, who was buckled up quite cozily in his blue blanket, a bit of his brown hair poking out. Seemingly unable to decline, the young priest took both the children in one arm, his other arm holding her in the process.

"I-it'll be alright," he tried to comfort the grown woman, but she shook her head, aware of the fate ahead of her.

"It's... f-far too late-" she stopped and coughed, hacking up some blood which dripped down the corners of her mouth. "I-it's far too late for me.... but.... as long as they are alright.... then.... i'm fine with my future...." As she finished this last sentence, her eyes closed, a smile on her face, and her wet, frail, beaten body, went limp.
