Dan got to come home, but he has to go to the hospital once a day. For about a week it worked, but Dan got more and more tired. Eventually they decided to just have him stay there.
They started chemos.
They shaved his hair off.
He lost a lot of weight.
His days were endless times of tests on him. He slowly got more and more inactive on Youtube. Phil visits him every day and brings him positive comments from his subscribers.
Before they knew it, he'd spent over 6 months there.
Phil had to move out of their apartment. He couldn't afford to pay the rent alone and some of Dan's treatment at the same time. He moved in a small flat near the hospital and helped Dan with his Youtube Channel. This made Phil become more popular on Youtube as he often was on Dan's channel now.
When Dan reached 5 million subscribers, Phil had already reached 4 million.
A lot of other youtubers came to Dan to visit him. But everyone eventually stopped caring. So, when after 10 months in the hospital and Dan's lungs filled with water, Phil was the only one there by his side.
Dan survived, barely. The chemo only kept him on the edge of living and it was barely working on him anymore. He spent his 25th birthday alone with Phil, whom only could stay there a couple of minutes as Dan was too weak to stay awake for a longer time.
The doctors talked to Phil when he walked out.
Phil cried himself to sleep, with the words echoing in his mind. 'There's nothing more we can do.'
