Chapter 10

"Come on! You said you didn't like when they talked shit about you...Besides, since we have that competition at the end of the week and you have been my boyfriend for almost 3 weeks now it is time!" Louis whined, and I just kept shaking my head, my eyes wide. "They're going to be complete gits to me and you know it!"

He just shook his head, and slowly I sighed, walking out of the car and up to his friend, Stan's, door with him. As we waited, he whispered in my ear a whole bunch of cute things. "They won't be able to resist your curls..." I giggled, and before I could respond I saw Stan open the door.

It wasn't that I didn't want to meet his friends, because it wasn't that at all. I didn't want to have to hear Louis say 'Me and Harry? Nah, we're just friends.'. He said he would come out to his friends today, but all month he has been stalling. He hasn't wanted to tell any of them, but at least the past month had been wonderful.

We've hung out everyday, sneaking around into eachother's bedrooms to make out. We were living the teenage dream. We would stay up late, and even if we weren't together we would be on video chat. He would tell me all about school and I would help him do his homework. It was perfect.

"Come on, all the boys are playing- Why'd you bring him?" I saw his friend physically groan, but Louis just shrugged and said "Be nice, Curly is cool." Stan chuckled when he called me that, and I felt a smile on my face. Louis had just defended me a bit, and it felt nice.

He lead me down the steps, into what was a finished basement. There was a tennis table in the middle, with a group of boys who I recognized as all his band mates from the Rogue. They all looked a bit dorky, but then again so did my band so it didn't matter. I'm sure they were cooler than they looked, since they were friends with Louis after all.

"Cheater!" The one yelled, who I was going to call Glasses because he was wearing sunglasses inside. The other one, who I would call Afro-man, said "No way!" They were wrestling around a bit, so my eyes widened and I stepped back, crossing my arms in front of my chest to protect myself. I didn't handle violence well.

"Okay babe?" Louis whispered in my ear, and I nodded, sitting on the small couch and curling myself into a ball a bit. I watched as they wrestled, Louis getting in the middle to break it up, jokingly. "Boys, you're scaring the children!" They laughed, and soon their laughter turned to mocking me.

"Oh, yeah, the baby boy. He looks like he's five." Glasses said, chuckling a bit. "I'm only like 3 years younger than you.." I mumbled, a bit snarkily. Afro-Man looked at me. "Aww, now he's getting cheeky! I swear, Louis, you always pick the worst people to bring to these parties!" Louis gave a shrug. "The guy I get beer from is still out of town."

My eyes widened. Louis was drinking beer? Shivering, I almost vomited when Glasses spoke up. "Well, I'm sure that curly haired kid couldn't handle it." I hated how they never talked to me, just about me like I wasn't even there. I took a deep breath, deciding to ignore it and just keep to myself while Louis hung out with his friends.

"He's just a pussy" They chuckled, but I was more upset when I realized Louis was the one who said that. "I'm not a....not a...." I said, raising my voice a bit. They chuckled louder, though now Louis was silent. "He won't even say pussy!" I clenched my fists, ignoring the tears forming in my eyes.

"And he doesn't get jokes. He's stupid, he's useless, he really can't do anything right at all. Plus he's a tad boring and moody. Really, he isn't even that great." Louis said, not breaking eye contact with me. That's when I couldn't take it. "You know what Louis? I don't even care anymore! " I was going to tell him I was breaking up with him, but no matter how matter I was I wouldn't out him in front of his friends.

I grabbed my coat, or Louis' coat that he let me borrow, and ran up the steps and out the door. I heard Louis yelling at me to wait, even running after me but I just ran faster. I wasn't fast or athletic, but right now I just needed to get away. I didn't stop running until I stumbled, falling into the grass by a bus bench. I layed there, looking up at the sky before I sobbed, not caring who heard.

I wasn't going to deal with this anymore. If Louis didn't want me, then he didn't have to have me. He was so sweet and special but when he was with his friends he acted as if I was just a pest. And maybe I was. But even I know I deserve better than him. I pulled out my phone, sending a text to Louis.

We're so done. And to think, I actually fell in love with you.

I didn't know what I was typing, but as soon as I sent it all made sense. I loved Louis. That was why I put up with all this drama for these weeks. That was why I haven't practiced with my band in weeks, and maybe that's what he wanted. Him and his friends probably planned this all along. 'Oh, hang with that dorky kid in the competing band, then we can crush him'.

I wiped the tears from my eyes, sitting up. I wasn't going to let him do this to me. I am Harry god damn Styles, I am a gentleman, a momma's boy, and I am strong. I'm not going to let him-or anyone else- keep me from living my only dream. I called up my bandmates, telling them to meet me at my house.

"Yeah, we have to win this thing, the Rogue is going down."
