ACT 9: I am me

Maki’s point of view:

 

I always thought that I am a normal person…

 Living and dying like of those normal people…

 

Like my mom and my dad.

 

I always thought that I am just lucky, to have a wealthy family,

Attending a prestigious school and having a perfect career to support my future.

 

I always thought that people around me are fakes… are liars…

Since show business is all about it after all…

 

 

But I never thought that even my life…

That everything I know… isn’t real.

 

 

I slowly opened my eye as I witness myself lying on my bed.

The night was silent.

There’s no sound of agony, no strange creeps, no tinge of danger.

I don’t feel glad or irritated… it was plain.

 I felt plain.

I roamed my eyes to the nearest window and I observed the wind’s swaying the trees in the middle of the night.

The moon, also, was so bright; it feels like it’s drawing me to look at it.

I know it’s boring and if it were the usual me… I won’t dare look…

but…

my feet…

 I can feel it moving on its own.

It’s like… there is nothing… yet there is something… I need to see.

I get up from bed and I suddenly fell on my knees.

I don’t know why I feel so heavy… that I need to get a hold of something in my way to the balcony.

I walk slowly… I wonder why this night is so dark… and the only luminance I see is the intensity of the moon.
