ACT 2: Mischievous Kiss

Act 2

Hasty breaths, dashing footsteps and bells ringing—

It was the school bell giving the signal of closing the gates.

Maki, from nowhere, without hesitation, jumps above the 5 meters high barricade.

It was her first day.

And she was late.

She got in safely. She sighed as she steps forth the class room of 2-1.

As of being heavily delayed, her tardiness didn’t have any good outcome.

The professor looked upon her with a seriously agitated face.

“You have the guts to get tardy in your first day, Ms. Kunohara.” He said.

“I’m sorry. I got excited, can’t sleep yesterday, Sir.” Maki responded.

The class slightly chuckled; it was to her astonishment that the students are a bit lively.

“Butterflies in your stomach I see…” The professor grinned.

“Yeah, yeah... You’re forgiven.” He added.

The professor turned his attention to his class.

“She is Kunohara Maki. A transfer student from western California…”

“She’s a half-japanese though. Be good to her.” He concluded.

Maki, on the other hand, smiled.

Bowed down her head, and with greatest sincerity, introduced her own self.

“I am Kunohara Maki. 17 years old, from Alberta, California.”

“Pleased to meet all of you...”She said.

“Fine then.” The Professor cut.

“Please sit next to Miss Koichi.”

Maki eagerly followed his instruction. She sat in her seat neatly.

“Hi.” She said.

“Hello.” responded Miss Koichi.

Maki observed the class throughout the entire session.

The lessons were never a problem for her.

Her classmates were though.

Except the guy, that is seated at the rear portion of the class arrangement.

It caught her attention.

 For He was somewhat-

good-looking.

However, she chose to ignore.

The class ended in a nice way.

Maki made her first girl friend in school, she waved her goodbye.

She too, was ready to go home.

Suddenly,

 As she was passing by at the back of the school gym, she heard someone crying.

There was a previous confession.

The girl passed by her side, running with all her might to escape embarrassment.

It is none of her business so she continued her steps.

Moving forward…

Her tongue slips: “What a jerk.”She said.

In her seriousness, the guy was slightly astounded.

His vision chased her.

In instinct took her right arm,

And then kissed her…

Maki was shocked, so she pushed the guy.

She couldn’t believe the guy’s intention.

“What the hell~?” she abruptly said.

Nevertheless, another astounding kiss filled her lips.

Smash.

She slaps his face.

With all due force…

“What game are you trying to pull?”

“You’ve just turned down someone’s confession yet you dare kiss me?”

“How insolent can you be?” Maki shouted her anger.

“I just love noisy girls.” said the guy and smirk.
