"Yea dad hold on, in the bathroom," I say as calm as possible. I whispered, "Brooklyn what do we do?!?"
"I don't know?" I pulled myself off of him and I grabbed his hand to get him off the bed.
"Brooklyn I'm sorry but your gonna have to go out the window," I said panicking.
"No it's fine," he said quickly pacing himself towards the window. Luckily there was a tree there to support him."See you later?" I asked.
"Yea babe, see you later," he said giving me a quick peck on the lips. He then went through the window and on the tree, jumped from the tree and left. My heart was racing not because he could've been caught, but because he called me babe.I don't know why but it made me feel good that someone could call me theirs. I ran down the stairs to see dad. "Hey dad," I said smiling as he looked up from his newspaper. "Hi Bailey, could you grab my coffee from the coffee maker," he said pointing towards it.
"Yea sure," I said walking over to the coffee maker. I poured the coffee in a mug and handed it to him. "So any plans today?" I asked him.
"I have to leave soon because the company needs me," he said rising from his seat and putting his coffee in the sink."Sorry Bailey," he said apologetically.
"No it's fine dad, I understand," I said looking down.
"Okay I have to go Bailey, bye," he said grabbing his brief case and leaving.
"Bye dad."I sat on the couch and sighed. He never has time for me it's annoying. I turned on the Xbox and played COD zombies.
After a few minutes I got bored and decided to go for a walk. I put on a white and black striped loose t-shirt and light wash high waisted jeans shorts with black flip flops.
I applied mascara and put my hair up in a messy bun. I grabbed my phone out of its charger and walked out the door. I opened the gates and strolled around the city and decided to go to the park. I entered the park and walked around in boredom.
"Hey," an unfamiliar voice said to me. I turned around and saw a girl with short black hair up to her shoulders wearing the same outfit as me but the shirt was black and white striped. "Oh wow! Hey we're wearing the same outfit!" I said shocked but happy.
"I know right? Sorry by the way my name is Emily," she said with her hand out. "My name is Bailey," I said smiling and shaking it back. "Do you wanna go to Starbucks?" I asked. "Yea sure, is it far from here? Sorry I just moved here," she said.
"Oh no it's not far from here, and you just moved here? Where were you from?"
"I moved here two weeks ago from London," she said as we were walking to Starbucks.
"Do you like it there in London?"
"Eh not that bad, but I prefer to stay there than here."
"How come? Sorry I'm asking too many questions," I said.
"No it's fine," she said laughing, "but cause they have better food there I guess."
Our conversation went on forever and it never stopped. I figured out that she had a boyfriend like me and he was a celebrity as well. I guess that's a thing now for girls. Lol.We exchanged numbers and said our goodbyes because it was getting late. I walked back home within 10min and buzzed myself in. "Dad?" I said out loud. No response. I shrugged it off since I was in a good mood and walked upstairs.
I opened the door and dropped my drink. "Brooklyn?" I said crying.
