Chapter 10

I sat in the car with Alex trying to think of what I just did. Why did I do that? He's never gonna want to talk to me again. I really like him though. I sighed.

"Alex, can you please turn the car around back to the beckhams house?" I had to do this, I'm not gonna turn away from Brooklyn. "Are you sure you want to do this Ms. Valentine?"
"Yes Alex, positive." As he turned around I texted my dad that I was going to be late because of the traffic.

My heart was beating fast as we have arrived back at the house. You can do this Bailey, your not a coward.

I knocked on the door. I heard someone yelling in the background. Victoria answered the door and said, "Bailey, what a surprise! What are you doing here?"
"Sorry to bother you Victoria but can I talk to Brooklyn quickly?"
"Yea sure honey, he is upstairs in his room."

I ran up the stairs and opened his bedroom door causing it to slam against the door stopper.
"Bailey what are you doing here? Go away," Brooklyn looked mad and aggravated. "Brooklyn I'm sorry for what I said I really didn't mean it that way," I pleaded.

"God Bailey what do you not understand of going away?" He slammed his phone on the bed.
"I..." I ran up to him and kissed him. It was miraculous. I pulled away after 3 seconds.

"Brooklyn, if you don't believe me then that's your fault, I really like you and I didn't mean what I said. I was just scared because my dad would find out. I don't care about him if he is gonna get in between us. I want there to be us. So please give me a chance."

"Bailey, I really like you too and I'm sorry for the way I acted. I was just hurt by what you said." He hugged me tightly. "Will you be my girlfriend though?"

I laughed and pulled away, "yea I would love too." We kissed again, this time it meant more to me. He pulled away as I said, "Brooklyn I gotta go, my dad would be wondering," I said walking out the door.

"Okay bye Bailey, love you," he said smiling at me. I waved bye and headed down the stairs. "Sorry Victoria for the intrusion, I just really needed to talk to Brooklyn."
"Oh no honey, it's fine. Just hopefully you worked out things between each other," she said winking.

"Thank you, bye."
"Bye Bailey," she waved as I walked out the door. I got back in the car with Alex, I couldn't just help but smile.
**20min later**

I got to my house and buzzed myself in with my keys. I got in the house and searched for dad but I didn't see him. I looked in the office and saw him working on some papers. "Sorry dad, traffic was pretty bad."
"It's fine, Bailey just make sure you get something to eat."
"Okay."

I walked out of the office and into the kitchen. I opened the fridge and took out some strawberries. I cleaned them, put them in a bowl and ran up the stairs to my room.

I lay in my bed watching gossip girl. Nate and Serena are so cute together. I Nate and Serena kiss passionately. And I couldn't help but think of Brooklyn and smile.
