*beep beep beep*

My alarm screamed in my ear. Fucking fabulous.

"Hannah! Turn that fucking thing off!" My mom yelled.

"Of course, mom. I'm sorry." I replied as I silenced my alarm.

I rolled out of my bed and headed for the shower. I felt the fresh cut on my arm. It was much deeper than the rest. I had to be more careful or mom would surely find out.

I rushed through my shower routine and ran back to my bedroom. I dressed in something a little bit different today.

Denim shorts and a floral tank top with a long sleeved cardigan.

This will be the first time since my dad died that I wore anything other than skinnies and a band tee.

I applied my foundation and blush because the bruises were worse today. My ribs ached from her abuse but I'd experienced worse.

After my bruises were concealed, I braided my hair to the side and added a floral head band and threw on my sandals.

I looked my self over in the mirror once more before heading to school.

"One more day, Han. You can do this. Think of dad." I whispered as I opened the doors.

-----------------------

I skipped breakfast even though my stomach was eating it's self so I just went to Mrs. Henson's class.

"Mrs. Henson?" I asked as I entered.

I believed I owed her an apology.

"Good morning, Han!" She replied.

"Mrs. Henson, I am so sorry for falling asleep in your class. I wish I could tell you why. It hasn't got anything to do with hating your class, I promise." I told her.

"You have so much potential Hannah. You are a bright young lady. I know you can achieve whatever you set out to do. Just keep your head up and block out everyone else. Focus on you, okay?" She told me.

I didn't even notice the tears running down my cheeks as I replied.

"Thanks Mrs. Henson." I said as I rushed out of her class to fix my make up.

*Bam*

I ran straight into a rock solid figure.

"I'm sorr-" I began as I looked up to see who I ran into.

Jonah.
