"Alli!"

"Angelyn!"

I ran to my bestfriend, laughing at the fact that she called me "Angelyn", which was a combination of my first and middle name. When I was eight years old, I met Alli at a beach in Australia. Ever since then, we becasme good friends and tried to meet up as often as we could. We skyped everyday once I got my first laptop. Even though nearly eight years have passed, we were still the best of friends. I gave Alli a hug and we did our super "not-so-secret" handshake. We were interrupted by someone clearing his throat.

"Forgotten someone?"

"I'm gonna ignore you because your darling girlfriend, Bella Thorne was mean to mean when she assumed I was my brother's girlfriend."

"Bella Thorne was never my girlfriend!" A horrified expression spread across Cody Simpson's face.

"You wish she was," Alli smiled playfully.

"Well, she is the most beau-" Alli whacked Cody before he could complete his sentence.

"Quit it, Alli! I want to enjoy the Canadian sun, not end up in a hospital!" Cody spluttered.

See how much the two siblings love each other?

~----~

"So you guys... lunch?" Niall asked as we piled into the limousine. "There's nothing to eat in the tourbus."

"Well, my mom did texted me and asked us to stop by her house for lunch. My mom, Jennifer," I added because Harry shot me a confused look.

I gave the limousine driver my mom's address, and by 45 minutes, we reached her house, where she stood waiting by the doorway. "Jadelyn, would you mind heading out and buying the ingredients? Whatever it is you want to cook."

Well, I missed you too.

"Sure.. You guys stay here," I muttered.

"Jay, I'll follow ya," Alli piped up.

"N- well, if you aren't tired, sure." We walked in silence until the house was out of sight.

"Still haven't told your mom how you feel?" Alli asked quietly.

"She's always busy with Jessica, isn't she?" I replied bitterly. "No time to talk about pathetic things like my feelings.

Jessica, my twelve-year-old sister. The princess of the Middleton family. My gosh, I remember how much I loved her. Now it's all I could do not to strangle the life out of her. She has my mom and dad wrapped around her finger. She got everything I wanted. Dance, piano and art lessons, toys and clothes and places I wanted to go. She had, did everything and went everywhere I wanted when I was younger. I don't even know if my parents knew, but it's all just too coincidental.

At least mummy Anne treated Harry, Gemma and I fairly. It wasn't much of a shocker that I lived with the Styles.

"You don't know, maybe they have a reason... Different from what you think."

The reason... Well, my hypothesis is that they didn't want darling little Jessica to end up like me. Sarcastic, moody, strong-opinioned, stubborn "Jadelyn".

"You aren't any of those things. Not when you are around everyone else. Usually, you're just you're usual fun self."

"But to biological mom, I am. I'm the first child. The experiment. She knows what I wanted as a child, gave it all to Jessica, and just like any other experimental object, I was of no use after the experiment was completed."

"There's no use in talking you into seeing things positively is there?" Alli giggled.

"You know me so well," I grinned.

We decided that we both wanted spaghetti bolognese with meatballs for lunch, so upon reaching the grocery store, we took a cart and filled it with the ingredients needed. Suddenly, I felt myy phone vibrate and realised I had a text from Simon Cowell.

Simon C.: Jadelyn, pass on the message to the boys that the week-long break has been exetended to one month for them and two months for you.

Me: Why? ._.

Simon C: You guys deserve a break from all the touring. Management gave you an extra month because they want you to fade away from the media for a while.

Me: What?! I didn't do anything wrong! Ok, so maybe I threw a tomato at the boys during their concert last month, but you don't have to fire me! >_<

Simon C.: You aren't being fired. In fact, we're planning something big for you. Call your manager, Calista, in two weeks. And one more thing

Me: Oh ok! Phew! :3 And what is it?

Simon C.: Throw another tomato at them and you will be fired.

Me: No promises there. xD

"Hey Alli, do you think your parents will let you stay here in Cali for two months?"

"Nope, definitely not."

"That sucks... I got a tect from Simon and apparently, I've ben given a two month break." I said, reaching into my wallet to pay for the groceries.

"Well, maybe you could fly back to L.A. with me and Cody!" her wyes twinkled in excitement.

I smiled at the thought of spending two months in Australia with two of my closest friends. The very thought of it is enough to make me jump around and sing in joy. But I wonder why I've been given a two month break all of a sudden. I don't remeber Calista telling me about a two-month break, then again, I don't really listen to Calista. And what as the big thing they were planning for me? Why do I have to be away from the media for such a long time?

---

"That was absolutely delicious!" Louis rubbed his tummy.

We all piled into the limousine after lunch once we cleaned up and I hastily said goodbye to my om. I realised I haven't told everyone the news yet. "Oi curly, You guys have been given a month's break-they began to cheer- don't be so happym I got two months," I smirked.

"You what?!"

"Yeah. And I'll be staying at the house dad lives in every two freaking months." I smiled.

"Did he say you could bring your bestest friends in the universe?" Cody said, in a girlish tone.

I nodded, smiling.

We headed to the tourbus so we could get mine and the boys' stuff. I was really excited because my dad's house was huge, and had maids, cooks, gardeners and everything. Dad let them live there, provided they didn't neglect their jobs. My room was especially huge, but then again, I got the room before Jessica was born. Stiil, with the money I saved, I managed to turn it into one of the coolest rooms ever. We drove to the house and got there in no time.

"You guys brought y-" I was cut off by the sound of Cody's phone ringing.

"Sorry, gotta pick this up!" his eyes lit up when he saw who it was and walked towards the patio.

"Probably his girlfriend, Sasha," Alli mumbled, not meeting my eye.

Oh.

--

Harry, Louis, Liam, Niall and Zayn hat to leave for a couple of interviews after 45 minutes of watching TV, leaving the house to me, Cody and Alli. I decided to go swimming and changed into my brown onepiece with cutouts on the side. I went into the water, imagining my thoughts drifting away, but of course, they don't.

Why didn't he tell me?

He was as close to me as Harry was. My guy bestfriend. I told him everything, and I assumed he did the same. Gosh, my science teacher was right. Assuming was like making an ass out of myself. You didn't tell him everything either, a small voice in my head whispered... Well, that's true. Something nobody else but Alli knew. When I was 12 or 13, I fell head over heels for Cody Simpson. It wasn't a big deal, since that was like three years ago and the feelings disappeared. But something... A question... kept bugging me...

Could those feelings have somehow come back?
