"You'll be safe in here. We will be back soon. I promise" Her father's words echo through her mind. Brianna was left alone in a cave just a few hours ago. Her mom told her they had to go out of the cave for a little while and would be back before dark.

It's been 2 hours since the sun went down and her mom and dad still haven't returned.
While she is scared and lost in thought Brianna slowly falls asleep in a cold cave. She wakes up after what feels like its been a few minutes but was really 8 hours to the sun beaming across her face. Where is mom and dad? Wondered Brianna. They still haven't returned.

Brianna didn't know what to do but when her stomach roared she decided to go out and hunt for breakfastafter she grabbed her moms bow and arrow and her dad's feild guides so she can identify edible and non-edible plants and animals.

She cooked herself some turkey on a pan over a fire. Brianna takes a walk through the woods for a while waiting for the turkey to be done. She decides to grab some berries but then as she is about to put them in her mouth she remembers that the berries could be poisoness. She looks it up in her father's feild guide and sure enough it is poisoness. You could die in seconds if you eat them.

Soon the turkey is done. Brianna decides to search for her parents after she is finished eating. First she grabs a back pack and puts some things in it. Brianna put the field guide in it, knives, some berries for later, and the picture of her, her mom and her dad a couple of years ago when they lived in the city.

After she is about 10 minutes away from the cave she sees someone look at her from behind a tree.

"Who are you?" Asks the boy.

"Who are you?"asked Brianna

"I asked you first"

"Okay. Fine. I am Brianna McAllister. I am looking for my parents so if you wouldn't mind I need to get back to the search."

"Okay. I dont mind but dont you want to know who I am?"

"Okay but please make it quick."

Normally brianna was the shy person. She had pail skin and long blond hair. She had bright blue eyes even though her parents both had dark eyes.
It was on rare occasion that she talked to the other kids in her class last year before her dad had to come to these woods. She only raised her hand if she was certain the answer was correct and if she was called on she would speak very quietly.

But now, now was different. She was scared and lonely. She wanted him to help her. She wondered what he was doing in the woods. She next to never saw anyone here.
