Brianna was getting closer and closer to her parents. Soon she heard a scream. Her moms voice. Brianna started running towards the sound. She saw her father. She called to him. She was scared. She had never seen her father look so terrified.

He turned around and that's when Brianna saw her. Her mother was lying on the ground. Brianna almost thought she was dead; her first instinct was to cry but then her mom yelled to her to run away as far as she can and they will come find her.

She started to turn around to run but she stepped on something. It was a walkie talkie. She looked at it and it had her dad's name engraved on it. Where'd daddy get this? She wondered. She was just standing there when her dad said, " Go! Run! Hurry!" She obeyed.

She ran faster than ever before, not sure what from but she knew that if she didn't listen she would be hurt like her mom.

When Brianna was sure she was far enough away she stopped to catch her breath. That's when she got a better look at it. The walkie talkie also had a recorder. She clicked the play button. Her father's voice filled the air. "Find somewhere safe to go.
Somewhere that isnt the cave. I sent a little kid about your age to come find you. You'll know its him because he has the same blue eyes as you. It might be a week before we find you but you'll be safe. When you want to talk to us click the button 3 times and I'll do the same. Dont talk unless I talk or I press the button." Then she heard a click signaling that the recording was done. Thats when she saw him. Eric. Observing her from behind a tree. He sure had a thing with hiding behind trees.

"See. Told you they sent me." Said Eric.

"Yeah." Brianna was replaying the recording in her mind. "Why did Daddy add that? "

"Add what? "

"That you have the same blue eyes as me. "

"Because I do. "

"Well yeah. I know that. But do you know the reason? Like he wouldn't just add that. He would've added it for a reason. He's my dad. I know him better than anybody. "

"Well maybe he added it so you know it me? I don't know. But when I saw him he knew my name. "

"How? "

"I don't know. But it was like he knew me. But I've never seen him in my life. But some part of me recognized him. I mean, I've lived in these woods my entire life And I rarely ever saw any --"

"Wait! You said you said your parents left a few years ago! "

"Well I lied I guess. Sorry. I've been alone since I was 2. I don't remember much but I know I was about to die. But I escaped. "

"Escaped what? "
