Chapter Two Paige

The oracle she heard about was a young woman named Rachel Dare. She had red frizzy hair, but she seemed nice enough. Paige was confused about all this. Who was she? Where was she? How did she get here? So many questions buzzed through her head. Paige looked up to see Rachel greet Chiron.

"So great to see you Chiron, everyone. What can I help you with today?" "Grand to see you too oracle. You see we have a girl here..." Chiron spoke telling her of the pervious events that happened earlier today. After the story Rachel turned to Paige making her uncomfortable. "Nice to meet you! Don't worry Paige we'll figure you out." Rachel smiled and headed off towards the camp fire. Paige had never seen something so amazing. Although she couldn't really say that, she can't remember anything for goodness sake! At the fire all the campers were gathered around having fun and singing. Chiron left her side for a moment to talk to Rachel. Paige sat down on a log looking around. She stared into the fire when she felt weird.... She screamed when she felt a hand touch her. "Whoa, whoa, whoa chill! It's okay. Your fine." She turned to see a man standing there. He had a pale completion, with dark shoulder length hair. He looked mean... "Don't worry I'm a camp teacher. I teach sword fighting. My name's Nico." He smiled down at her. Paige said nothing. As usual she was keeping quiet. "Huh, Will told me you were a quiet one. Well you're probably wondering 'hey why is this random guy talking to me. He probably has no idea what I'm going through!'" He joked. Paige didn't laugh, or smile. "Huh tough crowd. Well if you must simply know, I kind of do know what's going on. I'm a child of Hades too after all." There was that word again. Hades... She glanced up to see him look dejected, she felt bad... Paige tugged on Nico's shirt. He looked at her surprised, then she did something surprising. She smiled at him, making him smile back. "I knew this crowd wasn't as tough as it looked! Well Paige I think we're going to be good siblings, but don't let others know I treat you better." He winked, got up, and walked over to another male. He has sun looking hair, tan skin, beautiful blue eyes. The total opposite of Nico. Then Paige's eyes widen as she saw them kiss, making her blush and turn her head. After that... surprising moment Chiron galloped up to her and looked down. "Come Paige, it's time to announce your arrival...not that it's obvious you're here. We do have a crater to prove it..." He held out a hand which she hesitantly took. They walked over to the fire when Chiron stomped his hoof. "Alright everyone! As you all know we have a new...err...Camper joining us! Everyone welcome Pa-"Chiron got cut off my Rachel lunging at Paige. Paige shrieked loudly as green smoke poured out of Rachel's mouth. Her mouth stayed open, but a different woman's voice spoke, "Visions, vision, everywhere. Mountain tops high and fair. Stolen gifts, shall soon part ways. The monster with its devious ways. Five half gods, shall come to this day, and find the gift, of the stolen gaze."

After that Rachel dropped, releasing her tight grip of Paige. And at that moment Paige uttered her first word. "What?"
