Chapter 8

But then something happened...

Fire erupted out of no where.

"AHHHHHHHH" Annabeth yelled.

"What was that I just saw" I yelled.

"I don't know but it looked like it was Bronze."she said while she was trembling

I walked over while looking over my shoulders to make sure there was nothing.

"Are you okay?" I asked.

"I think I'm okay all my limbs are still here."

"That's good"

Another breath of fire appeared.

"HOLY STYX" Everyone yelled

"Get your weapons everyone." I didn't have a weapon or my friends so we walked to the back of the group.

"Protect the people without weapons" Chiron yelled.

Annabeth stayed in the same spot for a few minutes before she took her Yankees cap out.

Annabeth

Lord Olympus what was that. It looked so much like a Dragon covered with Bronze but I don't want to scare anyone. I don't have to doodle daddle anymroe I have to go help the others.

I put my Yankees cap and went and looked in the woods.

"Everyone please go back to your dorms. I hope no one is wounded but if you are please go to the infirmary." Chiron yelled.

I heard that I had to go back to my dorm but I didn't want to I shall hunt down whatever blew fire.

"ANNABETH!! GET BACK HERE DON'T THINK I DIDN'T SEE YOU"

Darn it I shouldn't make Chiron mad. I walked back to the place where I was going to meet Percy and took my cap off.

As I took off my cap fire came torwards me I got scared and I dodged to the right. It came again but I was too late. I'm going to get a burn I thought to myself.

Percy

As I saw fire coming towards Annabeth I got scared so I ran up to her. As she was about to get hit she dodged to the right, but no luck the fire came at her again. This time she wasn't ready so she looked freaked out. She looked horrified . I was scared but instincts took over.

I jumped just in time before the fire burned the tree. As we fell to the ground I smashed my head against a rock.

"OW" Is all I could say before someone yelled

"LOOK OUT!"

Before I could realized what happened Annabeth grabbed me and we rolled over. As we were rolling something under my head bumped and made my head jerk forward. I got scared so lifted my head up.

That was the stupidest thing I had to do wasn't it Percy. Oh my gosh.

As my head came up our lips collided. Her lips were soft and she had a cinnamon breath. I was stunned. She jerked her head back,gave a scowl, stood up, and dusted her pants off.

"OH MY GOSH WHAT IN THE NAME OF HADES JUST HAPPENED????" She yelled. She stormed off after that.

I stood up after that I was too dazed to noticed what happened. I remembered that she rolled me away from the fire. A few moments later I saw stars and collapsed to the ground.

Annabeth

"OH MY GOSH WHAT IN THE NAME OF HADES JUST HAPPENED?" Is all I had to say before I walked away. What happened? All I was trying to do was move Percy out of the way before the fire caught on him, but he had to be stupid and literately jerk his head up at that moment. I hadn't even decided my feelings for him yet her does that. OH MY GOSH LITERATELY NEXT TIME I SEE HIM I WILL SLAP HIM.

"Annabeth!" Malcolm called.

"Yes?" I said angrily

"Oh um Chiron told me to tell you to go wash up and go to bed and he shall deal with you later."

"Okay Thanks Malcolm I'm sorry if I was a bit angry."

"Oh no its okay but Good Night"

"Good night."

I walked back to dorm 6. I was told to go take a shower but I was too tired so I just took off my shoes and laid in my bed.

I kept replaying the moment Percy kissed me. I can't get the feeling of Percy's lips on mine out of my head. Why do I keep thinking of the kiss. He's nothing to me right now why Gods of Olympus why.

I dazed off a few minutes later. I was dreaming of me and Percy's kiss. Later I saw that we were at our own house having had a baby just born. Another image came up we were in our sixties or something and we had our grandkids over. Percy was rocking one on his lap and told a story of the monsters and how heroic he was.

Percy

I woke up after that in the infirmary. The feeling of Annabeth's lips were still there. I hope she's not mad at me.
