If your not so comfortable about the new control thing, and the jumping key is awkward to you, select pause then option button. Chose the third button down to the left, it's shown as a game control. Scroll down and swipe the 'swap Jump and Sneak'.

What are those green and yellow balls?

Those are experience points. Above your hot bar/inventory, it lights up as green in the small squares. Once you collected a few, you reach level one, and so on. You use these levels to name tools, repairing tools, and enchanting. I will tell you more later on.

Crouching.

Ever see someone hunched over in a video? Perhaps in a hide-and-seek one? If you swapped jump and sneak (Shown up above), tap the small square button until it looks as is pushed in. Same as if you didn't swapped the buttons. During the time your crouching, you cannot open doors/gates. Your slow and cannot go down blocks, not even opening up a crafting table. But the thing about it is that it hides your name tag.
