Gardening Part 1

Need some more food to keep you going? Gardening supports you with lots of vegetables, if you take responsibility. First off, craft a hoe (wooden, stone, iron, gold, or diamond with two sticks) in the crafting table. Once you've crafted your hoe/hoes, head outside. Now you need seeds! Let's start off with something easy...wheat. Bring out your trusty hoe. Tap some grass blocks to get some seeds. (If you have long grass you could just break that). Doing this doesn't give you seeds with every tap. You can also collect beetroot seeds by continuing this process. Continue this step until you have all the seeds that you wish.

When tapping grass blocks, your hoe grows weaker and weaker. Step 2: Make sure you still have a strong hoe. Hoe grass blocks or dirt blocks close to a body of water. To know that you're close enough to the water, the line-looking dirt would turn into a darker shade of brown eventually. With your seeds or beetroot seeds, tap onto the block you hoed. The plant would be just a few green living things poking out of the soil. To be continued...

How to Make a Basic Mine

A mine is a place to...well, mine. You can also mine into the side of a mountain, but you have to dig deeper to find the rarer minerals, such as gold and diamond. (Warning! Never dig straight down, there can be lava pits right underneath you! You can dig straight down when you drink a fire resistance potion :3 Or, if you're in an old world, you can dig straight down regardless). Find a spot in your world that's far away from the edge walls- or whatever you call it. Dig one block down on the ground. Dig two blocks down on any side of the block that you just broke, and dig three blocks down in the same direction. You should be digging in a line, going down a block with each step. Hop down onto the lowest stair and run into the dirt wall with your face..... Break the blocks that are in front of you. Now walk forward until you run into the next wall. Break the block underneath you. (You now need a pickaxe). Continue this process of making stairs until you hit bedrock. Dig out a large area on the bedrock and stone. Done! Now you can mine tunnels bellow the surface! Also, it might be smart to add a few torches... (Once this is done and you want to get fancy, you can go back and add stairs!)
