"You ready Mackenzie?" I look up from my phone shyly. My brother, Liam, stands before me, his car keys in one hand. "Yeah," I start, "I'm just a little nervous." I've never met the boys before. "Hey," Liam says. He takes a seat next to me. "They're gonna love you." I smile nervously and hug my brother tightly. "Feel better?" he asks. I nod. "Good, because we have to leave now or we'll miss our flight." I jump up and follow him to the car.

Liam's POV
We pull up to the airport, which is swarmed with fans. I know that I'd be fine, although I notice that Mackenzie looks a little startled. She nervously tugs her jumper down over her leggings. I take her hand reassuringly over the console. I get as close as I can to the entrance before I turn my car over to the valet. I step out and the fans cheer.
Mackenzie's POV
Liam turns, and offers me a hand. I gratefully accept it, and step out of the car, before letting go of his hand and following him through the crowd. Suddenly, a few fans surround me, calling me terrible things. One of the girls scratches me several times with her long nails. I flinch instantly, before shouldering my way through the crowd. A fan shyly pulls me aside as I pass her, quickly helping me bandage my now bleeding shoulder. I thank her and continue on. Finally, I make it inside the airport, where Liam and the boys are waiting for me.
"Mackenzie, I'd like you to meet Niall, Louis, and Harry," Liam says proudly. I wave shyly, just before the boys hug me tightly. Then we hurry off to catch our flight to New York City. I sit next to Niall and Louis, who tells me stories about the fans, tour and everything in between.
After eleven hours, we begin our descent. I stare out the window in awe, and Niall excitedly points out favorite places of his. I stretch my arms before getting up after we land. Liam had explained to me beforehand that security is going to collect our luggage. We walk through the terminal, before reaching the lobby. I shift nervously before following the boys outside, through a sea of cheering teenagers.
Liam's POV
A fan asks, "Liam? Can I show you something regarding your sister?" Her worried tone instantly sends up some red flags. "Yeah, of course," I reply. She hands me her phone and presses play. A short video starts. Mackenzie walks past fans towards the airport in London, before getting swarmed. I wince when Mackenzie's shoulder starts bleeding, although I am proud of the girl who'd helped my sister. I thanks the fan, and wait by the bus for Mackenzie. She emerges from the crowd a few moments later.
My eyes widen slightly, noticing a slowly enlarging spot of crimson on Mackenzie's shoulder. Her scratches must have started bleeding again. Niall notices when I do, and flanks her on one side. Louis catches on and does the same at her other side. They reach the bus, and climb in. I give one last wave to the crowd, and follow them in. Mackenzie settles on a couch, not noticing that her shoulder has started bleeding. "Um, Mackenzie?" Niall asks. She looks up from her phone. "Your shoulder's bleeding." Her eyes widen, and she leaps up, moving towards the bathroom. I stand there, waiting for her. "Let me," I say, gently beginning to clean my sister's injuries. "Thanks," She says shyly. "Mackenzie, why didn't you tell me?" I ask quietly, not being able to keep the hurt out of my voice.
"I didn't want you to lose your temper," She murmurs quietly. "I'm just glad it wasn't worse," I say, pulling out my phone and opening the Twitter app. "What're you doing?" Mackenzie asks. "Being a good brother and sticking up for my sister," I say. I type, Hate on me all you want. What happened today went too far. Mackenzie Payne never did anything to you. "Thanks, Li," Mackenzie mumbles, hugging me. I smile, returning the gesture, happy that my sister is alright.
