My friend Emily dropped a piece of balled up paper on my desk. I opened it and it read "Halloween party at my place, you in". I wrote "When have I ever resisted a good party". Ms. Johnson would you like to share what you are writing to the class. I looked at Emily and she nodded. I stood up and jumped on top of my desk. Party at Emily's place, wear your best Halloween costume. The person with the best costume gets a prize. A whole bag of candy, biggest one you've ever seen. Everyone whooped and hollered. Why do I even try, Mrs. Cosby whispered. I honestly don't know, I said. I sat down just as the bell rang for the end of school. Everyone grabbed their bags and ran out the school doors. Eddy walked up to me. You walking home today, he asked. Yeah, me and Em, I answered. Oh, you want a ride; he asked. I called for Emily and she ran my way. Want a ride, I asked. H e double hockey sticks yeah, she yelled. Well, what are we waiting for; I shouted. We all got into Ed 's car and watches the school pass by. Me and Em walked into the house and ran up the stairs. What am I going to be for Halloween, we shouted. We looked at each other and busted out laughing. Ok, ok; she said still trying to get her laughter under control. I'm going to take a shower be right back, I said. I took out some pajamas and walked into the bathroom. When I finished Emily went in. I got on my phone and text some people on kik. Tomorrow we pick out our costumes deal, she said holding out her hand. Deal, I said shaking her hand. After we chose a spot on the bed we fell into a deep slumber.
