The next morning at 7:30, Harry received a text from Louis telling him that he would be there to pick him up at 8:00.

Harry texted back asking him to meet him at the street corner. Still not telling him that it was so that Mark wouldn't see him.

Louis never replied so after he got ready, he decided he would be at the corner early so that Louis would definitely not go to his house.

Exactly at 8 Louis' car turned onto his street and stopped at the corner Harry was at. Harry got in and buckled his seat belt. "You don't have to tell me if you don't want to, but why can't I pick you up or drop you off at your house?"

"Um... Because I like the exercise." Harry said trying to come up with a good excuse.

"Well that was obviously a lie so I'll take it as you don't want to talk about it?"

"Um. Yeah"

"Okay." Louis said simply not wanting to push Harry.

The rest of the drive was silent and when they arrived in the parking lot, Harry thanked Louis for the ride and tried to get out to go into the school. However Louis grabbed his arm before he had opened the door. "Why are you in such a rush? We still have fifteen minutes. We can just sit in here and talk until it's almost time for class to start."

"O-okay. Um what d-do you want to talk about?"

"I don't know. Anything really. I'll start. Uh do you have any siblings?"

"No. It's just me. W-what about you?"

"I have a younger half sister, and an older full brother."

"Do they live with you?"

"My sister doesn't, but my brother does when he's not at college."

"C-cool." Harry stammered not knowing what else to say.

"Do you have any pets?"

"I used to have a cat but my stepdad gave it away last year."

"Oh I'm sorry."

"It's okay. She probably has a better life wherever she is now."

Louis knowing not to comment on that decided he would ask a new question. "Do you..."

Before Louis could finish his question Harry butted in, "Wait! You never said if you have any pets."

Louis chuckled at Harry. He was just too darn cute. "Yes I have a cat."

"You do! Really?!"

"Yes. It's more my mum's but he lives at my house so I guess he's kind of mine too."

"What's his name?" Harry asked, genuinely giddy.

"Patches. My mum named him."Harry seemed to cheer up after all this talk about cats and Louis hoped he was about to make it better, "well you can come over to my house anytime you want and play with him if you would like to."

"Well if I ever get the chance to that would be really nice." Harry said as a subtle blush came onto his cheeks.

"Well I guess we should start heading towards class." Louis said looking at his dashboard clock. They both hopped out of the car and walked into the school in a peaceful silence.

When they were inside Louis asked, "What's your first class?"

"Erhm. English. You?"

"I actually have late arrival so I'm just gonna go to the library and do some homework I didn't do last night."

"Wait you have late arrival and you got up early just to drive me to school? You don't have to do that."

"I know I don't have to. But I wanted to." He said sincerely. "And I really do have homework so if I had stayed at home I know I wouldn't have done it." He added after seeing Harry's skeptical look.

"Well I have to go. Thanks again for the ride."

"It's no problem at all. I'll see you at lunch?"

"Uh yeah, sure."

They went their separate ways and Harry walked into his English class with 10 seconds to spare before he was late.

After his morning classes, Harry headed to the cafeteria where he saw Louis sitting at the table Harry always sat at. "Hey!" Louis said as Harry sat in the chair across from him.

Before they had a chance to say anything else to each other a happy Niall came bounding over to the table. "Harry! Sorry dude about yesterday! I'm all good now so you don't have to worry about me anymore." Niall laughed out.

Niall suddenly realized Louis was sitting at their table and sarcastically said, "Harry, seriously? I was gone one day and you've already replaced me?"

"No of course not. You're still the one and only Nialler."

"Good. We can't have a senior sit at our table anyways. Scaddadle on to where you came from uh Louis, right?"

"Uh yeah it's Louis." Louis said not knowing if Niall was being serious about the him leaving part. Niall eventually sat down next to Harry so Louis assumed he was kidding because he never said anything else about it.

The rest of lunch went by pretty quickly with Niall talking most of the time. After the lunch bell rang Louis grabbed Harry's arm and whispered in his ear, "I'll meet you at my car when the bell rings, sound good?"

Harry nodded and continued following Niall to their next class which they happen to have together.

When they walked in Niall asked bluntly, "so what's up with you and Louis?"

"Well he sat with me yesterday while you weren't here and then he's taken me to and from school a few times."

"Well somebody's got themselves a new friend." Niall teased, knowing that he was Harry's only friend.

The rest of the day went fairly smoothly except for being late to one of his classes, which he would be killed for later.

At the end of the school day, Harry walked out to the parking lot where Louis had parked his car this morning.

They both got to the car within a minute of each other, and hopped in.
"How was your day?" Louis asked, breaking the silence.

"It was okay. I'm just really tired."

They drove the rest of the way in complete silence and Louis stopped the car at the corner of Harry's street and asked, "do you want me to stop here again?"

"Yes. Thank you again."

"You're welcome."

Once again Louis waited until Harry was inside before he drove off.
