Irene

I breathed long and hard. I closed my eyes.
You can do this. You can do this... No!
I can't believe he left me alone on my first day! How dare he?!

I gathered enough courage to step out of the car and took my bag.
I sighed. This school... of all the school in this country, why here?!

I stumped my foot on the ground and started walking slowly.
Now everyone is staring.

This can't be. I can't fit in here, no.

A boy tapped me on the shoulders.
"Hi, I'm Kyungsoo. You must be Irene? I was assigned by the principal to guide you throughout the day."
We shook hands.

"So, this one here is the main corridor. Over there are the stairs... no elevators like your old school. Sorry, I researched a bit... and there is the... "
blah blah blah
I don't mean to be rude or anything but this guy is making me nuts. Urgh.

"...so, this will be your schedule, our classroom is here. C'mon."
We entered the classroom and it went silent all of a sudden.

The teacher is up front, discussing something about some history.
"My, okay class. Remeber what I told you yesterday? She will be your new classmate. Miss, please imtroduce yourself to the class...and Kyungsoo, take your seat."

My heart is beating louder and faster. You can do this! Everyone did this.
I stepped in front of the class and raised my head to look at them.
They were all smiley and grinny. Some girls at the back were snickering though.

"M-m.. ehem. My name is Irene Wu. I'm 14 years old. Nice to meet you all."
I quicky looked at the teacher. He smiled.
"Well, Miss Yu, you can take a seat next to Minah... over there."
He pointed to the girl in the middle of the class and she smiled at me.
I went and sat beside her.

"Hi, I'm Minah. Nice to meet you, Irene." She said, all smiles.
I smiled back. "Thanks Minah. Nice to meet you too. Please take care of me." I smiled.

The class went on normaly then it was lunch time.
"Hey Irene, want to come with us?"
I nodded and came with them.

We were eating at the cafeteria when someone tapped my back. I turned my head to look.

"Ya! Why didn't you wait for me oppa??"
Jin oppa smiled.
"Sorry, I got too excited. Haha!" Then he went.

"Ohmygosh! Irene, you did not tell us that you have a hot brother!" Minah exclaimed.
I smiled. "Uhh... can you not say hot? I'm a little unsure of that. Haha"

They all laughed.

The bell rang and we went back to our classrooms. Soon, it was time for homeroom.
The teacher talked about the upcoming school festival and he called a student at the back to continue the discussion. I looked over and saw a pretty boy. A very pretty boy.
He looked serious though.
He went in front of the class and started talking about the plans for the festival.
He was talking about the theme Classic and a play that our class will present.

"So tomorrow, there will be draws for the whole class. Whoever gets the role will have that role. But first what will we act?"
Some students raised and suggests popular plays.

"Hey Minah, what is his name?" I whispered to her.
"Oooh, I see he caught you. His name is Luhan, our class representative. He's pretty quiet you know?"

I did not pay anymore attention to the class.
We went home.

I talked to Jin about the school festival.
"Hey, you know, at the end of the festival, a dance will be held." Jin says.
"I don't really care about dances. Besides, I don't even know anyone from my class."
"Haha. That's a first for you Miss Popular. Anyway, our class have decided to have a haunted house. Isn't that great?"
"Good for you then. You can let go of all your awkwardness. Haha. Ours will have a play though. Gosh, I hope I'll be a tree."
