"Wake up Michael." I shifted in my place. "Wake up!" I sat up in my bed, startled by the loud voice beckoning me. Stephanie loomed over my bed with a scowl on her face and a hand on her hip. Something was definitely up. "What is it, Steph?" I groaned."Do you have any idea what time it is?!" She shouted. "Shh, Stephanie chill out! You're gonna wake my parents!" I knew why she was upset.
She sat down on my bed and lied her head down as if to go back to sleep. "I hate you." she said. It had been some weeks since the last time we went up to the mountains, and she wanted me to take her to see the sunrise this morning. "Based on how high the sun already is in the sky, I'm guessing I slept in." I asked tentatively. "I'm sorry, it's just so cold now and I want to snuggle! "I reached to pull her closer to me. She lifted her head up and glared at me with those glowing brown eyes, a warning to not touch her.
I knew her spending her nights here was just a friendly kind of thing, but it was hard to leave it at just that. Especially when she was in my bed. I knew I should'nt be thinking those things and that she'd castrate me if she found out I was, especially since I found out that she was in a relationship. Her phone's always buzzing incessantly all night with messages from him. I could hear it even on the rare occasion when she slept in the guest room. It kind of made me jealous, I knew that our relationship was platonic, but I've wanted it to be more since the day we met. She always said she loves him, but it never shows. Especially when she was with me. At the thought of the irony of it all a smirk passed across my face at the thought of having his girl in my bed.
"What is it?" she questioned. I tried to play off the smile as a simple remembered joke, but she saw straight through me. Her face lit up in embarrassment at the realization of my thoughts. "Michael you're such a perv!" she yelled. She threw a pillow at me and went to get dressed in the bathroom. "Look Steph, do you just want me to take you home?" I felt defeated. She'd caught on, but I knew better than to feel bad for long, she's always been tricky with her emotions. I smiled and got out of bed.
