Finally finished Why me? so I can turn my attention to this. If you haven't read Why me? go read it now! But I'm going to try to update at least once every week, maybe twice if I have the time. It has just been hectic the past few weeks with everything going on at once. Anyways! Comments, votes, and follows are appreciated! Enjoy! *edited*

I watched as the food was set in front of us, the smell was heavenly. I was about to take a bite of my spaghetti when I realized that Matt wasn't eating, just staring at me intensely.

"Aren't you going to eat?" I asked.

He gave me a small smile,"I was just basking in your beauty."

I blushed before reaching towards my concealed knife. Something wasn't right. I looked at him, he shifted uncomfortably, golden eyes shifting to anywhere but my own.

"Did you know that in some cultures that it is tradition for the host of the meal to try the food first, to reassure the guests that it wasn't tampered with?" I said matter-of-factly.

He swallowed, nailed it.

"N-no I didn't know that." he stuttered.

"Would you try this for me?" I asked.

"What!? Are you saying that I would poison you!" he said, starting to get angry.

"That is exactly what I am saying." I said standing up.

I watched him as he slowly sighed. In one quick move he stood up and sneered at me, golden strings coming from his fingertips.

"Don't make this harder than it has to be, I really don't want to hurt you, you actually seem like a nice girl..." he rambled.

"Who are you? Really?" I asked, yawning.

"I'm not about to tell you who I am, all you need to know is that I was ordered to kill you." he said.

"Uhg, that's like what? The second maybe even third one this year." I said.

"Wait, what? This isn't the first time?!" he marveled.

"Yeah, and they always sent the newer guys as well, pretty easily dealt with. I wish that they would give me a challenge." I complained.

He looked really confused and his concentration wavered, the golden strings flickering, I took my chance and yanked my knife out and threw it at him, the cold steel piercing the flesh in his hand. He cried out and cradled his hand, I jumped over the table and kicked him in the chest, sending him flying into the back wall. I bent down and scooped up the knife.

I walked over and knelt beside him, fear flashed in his golden eyes.

"See you later, Matt." I said, slamming the butt of the knife into his head.

He slumped over, leaving me to wonder how in the hell I was going to drag him out without causing a commotion.

Then I remembered he had already caused one, I looked around to see everyone gone, and I knew that it was only a matter of time before police arrived.

I groaned and started to drag him out, making sure that he didn't leave too much blood on the floor. I pushed him into the trunk of his car and stole his keys before going back inside.

I rummaged around in the kitchen before I found a few gallons of bleach and poured it on everything as well as knocking down and shattering any alcohol bottles. I pulled a lighter out of my pocket and set the place alight.

It was my job, clear away the evidence, even if it meant destroying this place.

I walked back to his car and drove away, the sound of police sirens and fire trucks in the distance.
