The Consequence

"Now I was notified by someone that a video had been uploaded last night with proof of who committed yesterday's crime. Unfortunately the people in the video happened to be all of you," he said.
Everyone looked around at each other. May was dripping with sweat. She didn't want to lose their friendship.
"We're very sorry! You aren't going to expel us are you?" Dawn asked in a very concerned tone.
"Of course not! But you will have some consequences," he explained.
"What will that be?" Iris asked.
"Since we need to pay the photographer not only to take the pictures, but also pay for the broken camera we will need to find a way to make the money,"
"Can't Misty get her rich actress sisters to give us the money since it was her fault?" Ash asked rudely.
"No how would you learn anything that way?" Mr. Oak asked while Misty stuck her tongue out at Ash. "Anyway I want you all to raise the money by fundraiser!" Mr Oak exclaimed.
"So like go door to door selling cookies or cheap wrapping paper that never gets used?" Iris questioned.
"No, you will have to find a way to raise the money on your own," Mr. Oak explained. "And if you don't raise the money in three months there will be no prom for you nine," Dawn and Serena gasp at the news. "Oh and Misty, Iris, Ash, Drew you will no longer meet the requirements for any sports," they grew wide eyed. Their college life's depended on those sports. They needed scholarships from sports because none of them could really get it in academics.
May looked like she was going to start crying. Her face was cherry red and she had her knees pulled up to her chest.
"How much do we need to raise?" Dawn asked.
"About..." Mr. Oak stopped to think for a second, "1,000 dollars,"
May let out a whine. Everyone turned to look at her.
"Are you ok?" Dawn asked the brunette sitting next to her. May shook her head yes, even though she was lying. This was all her fault.
