*beep beep beep beep*

I lazily pounded the off button on my alarm clock. Oh how I hated Monday mornings. Who wants to go to school on a Monday? Crazy people that's who.

I yawned and rubbed my eyes then rolled out of bed slowly, still not wanting to leave the warm comfort of my bed. I didn't even bother looking in my mirror, knowing I would have chaotic bed head as always, and made my way downstairs to the kitchen.

"Good morning honey. Sleep well?" My mother said while handing me a cup of tea. I just nodded, still being too tired to talk.

My eyes felt heavy as I plopped myself down at the counter sipping on the tea.

"Katherine, I made some omelettes, would you like one." I nodded again. I heard a plate being put in front of me and I began eating.

After I finished eating, I went back to my room to get ready for school.

I put on a nice shirt with a matching white scarf, some skinny jeans, and started applying my make up. I didn't need to coat on make up like some of the other girls in my school. Just mascara was enough to make my brown eyes pop. After fighting a brush through my longish chocolate brown hair, I straightened it. That's the thing with my hair; if it isn't straightened, it's kind of wavy. I get it from my mom.

"Five minutes Katherine!" I herd my mom yell. Crap. I was always bad at managing time in the morning.
I turned off my straightener and looked at my reflection one last time before booking it downstairs and slipping on my Hollister hoodie. Making sure I had all my school work in my backpack, I slung it on. I put on a pair of brown boots while yelling a goodbye to my mom as my little brother sheepishly walked into the living room and turning on his cartoons. Lucky duck had more time than me in the morning.

Im so fancy, you already know! I mentally sang as I made my way to the bus stop. Looking at my phone, I noticed I was a couple minutes early which was surprising because I'm usually late. Must be my lucky day or something.

When the bus finally came, I took "my seat" near the front. I didn't have any friends on the bus which sucked but it gave me a chance to practice my skill of eavesdropping. I'm actually quite good at it and its come in handy a couple times.

We pulled up to the school and we all started heading off the bus. I went to my locker, put my backpack inside, and grabbed the things I needed for my first class. Science. Grade eleven science to be exact. Seems more like math because we're doing physics and there's lots of formulas and numbers.

I entered the classroom, took my seat, and waited for the bell to ring.

"Hello class. Hopefully everyone had a good weekend." Ms. Donald, who was one of the nicest science teachers ever, said. Well she was nice as long as you didn't get on her bad side.

As soon as the class settled, we started taking review notes on Newton's three laws. We completed a couple sample question to make sure we understood what we had learnt, which I did. Science has always been my strongest subject. I don't know why. I just really enjoy it I suppose.

I finished the work sheet she gave us and had some free time so I browsed through instagram. Same as always. Selfies, ducklips, 'I hate Monday' posts.

The bell rang and I headed to my locker. I had outdoor Ed next so I was pretty happy. Outdoor Ed is the best option in the world! I love being outside and doing stuff that involves nature. I like being outside this time of year because the leaves look beautiful and I really like the smell of fall. No idea why haha. Mentally laughing at myself now? Smooth Katherine, smooth.
