I made a wish at a wishing well
But sank to the ocean floor
To sharpened rocks down beneath
And got washed up on a shore
I ran trying to catch a shooting star
But it slipped through my hands
Shooting across the sky
All the way into endless space
I tried to touch a rainbow
But before I could, it disappeared
Rain started pouring all over again
Leaving me in utter despair
