Santana walked into McKinley High sighing, Sebastian wasn't at the Lima Bean--for once. She planned to see him after school, hopeful that he'd be at the Lima Bean or she'd go straight to Dalton Academy herself and talk to him. She had so much to say to him, she couldn't hold it in much longer. All her thoughts were crammed in her head, but she didn't dare speak her mind. If anyone knew of these thoughts, she'd definitely be in trouble.
A few minutes after getting to her locker, a joyful Brittany walked up to her kissing her cheek, "Hiya, Santana!" she said happily smiling.
Santana chuckled nervously at the kiss, "Hey, Britt," she said trying to avoid eye contact.
Brittany looked at her weirdly, "There's something wrong...I can tell, tell me!" Brittany said urgently.
Santana bit her lip, "Everything's perfectly fine," she lied fixing her hair looking in her mirror.
"Well, if there's anything wrong, you can always tell me," Brittany reminded Santana, "See you at glee club later!" she pecked Santana on the cheek before skipping down the hall.
Santana watched in her mirror as Brittany skipped down the hall. She slightly smirked at her girlfriend, she was going to miss her joyfulness. But, Santana didn't know how to break the news to her without crushing every last bit of her. She ran a hand through her hair as she sighed shutting her locker. She stood there staring at nothing for a second before she turned and walked toward her first class.
She sat in her usual seat near the back placing her bag down beside her desk. She rest her head in her hands staggering her breathing. She didn't know what to do, she wanted to tell Brittany, but when was the correct time? How was she going to break the news to her? Could she tell her? The bell rang as she picked her head up. Quinn quickly ran into the room sitting next to her. Quinn noticed Santana's confused expression from all the questions in her head.
"What's up with you?" she asked looking Santana straight in the eye.
Santana snapped back to reality and looked at her, "Hm? Oh, nothing...just lost in thought I guess," Santana quickly replied hesitantly.
Quinn looked at her unsure and turned towards the front of the class. "Why do you even care? It's not like you're really a friend to me," Santana added questioning her.
"Is it wrong to be nice?"
"No..."
The entire day went like this, people kept asking her if something was wrong. She answered with the same reply everytime, 'no.' This is exactly what she was afraid of, people asking her what was wrong and that she looked like she had just saw Slenderman for the first time in her life--in person of course.
Then, Mr. Shue walked in clapping his hands, "Alright, guys! The leader board says this year," --he stands in front of the classroom-- "we have to pair up with another team for Regionals."
Everyone groaned, "And they already chose for us, we will be paired with The Warblers."
Everyone's eyes widened, and Santana was the one to speak, "Tienes que estar bromeando! Después echaron sal de roca en el ojo de Blaine, que nos están emparejando con Andrew McCarthy y los pendejos?!" (Translation: You've got to be kidding me! After they threw rock salt into Blaine's eye, they're pairing us up with Andrew McCarthy and the assholes?!)
Mr. Shue's eyes widened while everybody else looked confused at what she said.
"Oh, well that isn't very nice now is it J-Lo?"
All heads turned towards the door to see the blue and red blazers they always dread to see, The Warblers.
