So... I had to introduce myself to the class. I inhaled deeply.

"Um... Hi! I am Adrian Nesmith. I'm new to Florida."

As I said these words, everyone gave me a blank look. What to say more now? Oh yea, hobbies maybe. Maybe I'd find someone with common interests.

"I love music, mathematics and tech." and I paused, thinking of what else I could say. Florida was like a new planet to me. No one reacted either.

"That's great Adrian!" said Mrs. Eastcott. "Go and take your seat" and I rushed to the last bench.

As periods flew by, I and Max became friends. I took his phone number. It was recess. Max's introduced me to his squad. Vale was one of them too.

"Hey, coming with me to the canteen?" asked Max.

"Yeah, that will be cool" I replied. I started following him. In our way came a pool. It was a small one.

"Small? I know. The pool is for only primary classes. There's no pool for us in the school . In the swimming period, we go to 'Holiday Resort' for 2 periods. It's got a pool inside. We go to pool there. Can you swim?"

"Yea I can." I had learned swimming from the previous school. "Can you?"

"Nope. I can't. I just enjoy myself in the shallow water."

"Lol."

Then we reached our main stage of school. He said that at the backstage was computer lab.

"Can you those stairs down next to the computer lab? Those stairs will lead u to the basement, beneath the lab. That's our music room" said Max.

Music room under the world huh? That was cool!

"You said you like the guitar? Well they tute guitar in our school. You can choose guitar as an instrument to play in the music period."

"Yea, I said. That's cool!"

"I know, right?"

"Do you play guitar too?" I asked excitingly.

"No I don't. I do vocals."

"Oh. Great!"

God knows what else was in this school. We finally reached canteen. He bought 2 cool bottles. One thing I noticed was Max's popularity among girls. Yea, he was the guy.

"Thanks!" I exclaimed.

"Don't mention it" he replied.

At left was the amphitheatre and beyond that were some trees. I didn't know what was at the right side.

"Hey, it looks dark that side and lonely. What's there?" I asked. I was curious.

"Ah you caught it! That's a place where couples have their time. That area is mainly used to ask one out or kiss and the teen love stuff."

"Oh, gotcha. Have you been there?"

"No, Not really. I'm single for now. Why are you asking man? Crush on first day?" he asked sarcastically.

I was curious when he said 'for now'.

"Bro, seriously? It's not even been a half of day."

"I was kidding!"

That was so weird of him.

The bell rang. It was music period! I saw there were no serious guitar players in my grade, except for one. She was Mary. She wasn't that good though. But yea, I could collaborate my tabs with her at times at particular songs. In chords, all she knew were the major chords (no bar or power chords) except the F chord and 2 minor chords, A minor and E minor. You had to be minimum of 5th grade to make your own band.

After reaching home I slept. I was tired. I was still connected with Kip, Mark and Lina through Facebook.

As days flew, I became comfortable with school. The school was simply awesome. You couldn't resist yourself not going to it (except at the time of examinations of course). I became popular too as the 'music guy'. Throughout my fourth grade I was nicknamed as 'question bank'. It was because I asked doubts to teacher very often. I interacted with teachers and my classmates welly  (is that a word? I don't know). Living in Florida was cool.
