I grab my books as the school bell rings and walk out the door. I was rushing because Vampire Diaries comes on. My favorite show ever. I wasn't paying attention then I ran into the meaniest girl in school. Riley Willis. "Watch were your going idiot Fay." Fay is my last name. My names Laura Fay. "Make me." I mumbled. "What was that make me?" She chuckled and threw her back pack on the floor. I did the same. The cutest guy in school. Carl Grimes stands there. Watching. I start to blush and look at him. He doesn't know I have a major crush on him.

Then all of a sudden I fell a real hard smack that knocked me to the ground. I touched it. It stung and then I looked at my fingers and saw blood. It's bleeding! Carls mouth dropped open. "Are you still blushing?" Riley said picking me up off the ground. Then almost slapped me until...."That's enough." Carl said walking up towards us. "She's had enough." I smiled as she throws me down. She grabs her bag and walks towards the door. "This isn't over..Fay." She said going out the door. Carl reaches out his hand. I grab his hand. He helps me up. "Thanks." I sigh. I grab my bag and go towards the door. "Hey..Laura." Carl said. "Um...I was wondering if you would like to go to my football game...unless you have something else to do." I shake my head no. "No..no..I don't have plans." I say as I'm moving my bangs out my eyes. "I would love to go." He nods. "It's Friday... At 8:00... Be there." He walks out the door. Did Carl take up for me.. And flirt. My hearts beating. I sigh and go out the door.

Later im at my house. I go through the door. My cheeks throbbing. "Oww."I whispered. My mom came out of the bathroom. "Hey honey." She gets my backpack and puts it in my room. She looks at me. "What's wrong with your cheek?" She said. "Oh..." I hesitated. "I feel..on my way here." She looked at me and shook her head. "Do your homework." She walks out the room.

Later it was Friday. Riley never got me back. I go to my room. Put on skinny jeans and a basketball Tshirt that says FAY on it. I used to play basketball. I brush my teeth and then my hair. I put a Pink ribon in it and put my hair in a ponytail.

I look at my self. My scratch on my cheek. I touch it. It doesn't hurt anymore. I get out my phone its 7:50. I groan and run out the door. My sneakers thumping on the hard side walk. My long brown hair sashaying around. I'm there I see Carl getting In the field. He sees me and waves. I wave back.

I sit down on the blenchers. "Excuse me but I can't-" I look behind me seeing Riley Willis. "Oh its you!" She said. "I told you ill get you back." Then she pushes me off the bleachers. I tumble down and down finally I stop. Everyone stood up to see If I'm okay. Even the football players. I gasp for air. I Lost my breath. I stand up go to where Riley is and slap her. She flinched from the pain but slapped me and of course I fall on my butt. And there's another scratch on my face. AND ITS BLEEDING. The coach came and kicked me and Riley out. I looked back at Carl and he starts to talk to his coach about how its not fair.

I hold my cheek. I see a man behind me catching up on me. I start to speed walk. Then I looked back and it jumped on me. It's teeth cluching together. I push it. I gasp and gasp. I put my foot on it and start to push him then he fall backwards. I get off the ground and run. I see that my cheeks bleeding agian. I run all the way home and lock the door behind me. My mom came In and saw me breathing heavy with my hands on my knees.

"What happened to you?" She said walking up. "What's wrong with your other cheek?" I shake my head. "Mom.. There...there was something out there..it it almost got..me." I said out of air. "Did that "Something" did that to your cheek?"

I shake my head no. I touch my cheek. Its still bleeding. "Come here..." Mom said giving me a gentel push. "Lets bandage you up."

She takes me in the bathroom and wet a rag. "I really wish you'd tell me what happened to you." I shake my head. "Its nothing....mom."

"Was it Riley?" She said wiping the rag on my cheek. The dry bloods gone. I didn't say nothing. "Im calling her mom." "NO!" I yelled. "Im sorry..you can't..when she figures out was me im ganna be more than a idiot Fay...Im going to be dead!" Mom shook her head. "No your not. There all better..Get to bed." I sighed and wen't to my room. I looked in my mirror. My light blue eyes sparkled. I smiled as I thought about Carl.

He took up for me...TWICE!

I got dressed and climbed in bed. My eyes finally close...then I fall asleep.

I woke up and looked at the alarm clock. 10:34...perfect. I untagle the covers and get out of bed. I get dressed and leave my room.

I smell breakfast. "Hows that cheek." Mom said putting plates on the table. "Fine." I said sitting down. I get a text. It's from my friend Aly.

Hey I was thinking we should have a sleepover at my house. My mom said you can come if that's okay to your parents. We need to make plans on how it should be. Toddles. ~Aly.

I talked to my parents they said it was okay. I text her that it was okay. We got a knock on the door. "I got it." I said rushing towards the door. I opened it. "Carl!" I squealed. "Come in..." I opened the door wider. He walked in. "Please." I said "Take a seat." He sits down on the couch.

"Hows your cheek." He sighed. "Better than the other one...Riley..I slapped her...I slapped Riley..Know..im ganna get payback." I said sitting down.

"I won't let that happen." He said smiling. I looked in his eyes same color as mine. He blinked. "I just came to check on you...See if she hurt you." I sighed and looked down. "Im fine Carl..Thanks..And im not really hurting." Mom looks at us. "Yall dating?" Mom said.

I blushed so did Carl. "Mom" I squealed. "Stop.. No were not dating. Know eat." Mom silently laughed and ate her eggs.

Carl stood up. "I should better get going my dads gonna wonder where I am." I nod. He opened the door. "See ya Monday." He said going out the door. "Yall should date." Mom said. I looked back at her and sighed. I shrugged. "I like him mom I really do..Hes a great guy...he took up for me when Riley slapped me.." I said standing up. She got a sad look on her face and stopped eating. "Honey.." Mom said. She put her napkin on her plate. "You will date someday..I promise thats how me and your father did." Father. I thought. Hes in Hawii for his job. I miss him so much. "I miss dad." I said slouching back down on the couch. Then there was a knock on the door. I opened it.

"DAD!" I screamed.
